Spring operated is for power (mid range) and fly wheel (battery operated) is for speed (close range) and the fortnite blasters are so expensive because they have to pay royalties and also keep in mind designing a scale item of something in a game is pretty hard and time consuming. Also when these where new they where more money because there was alot of demand for the 2 items when this came out, and now on average the assault rifle cost 40 dollars.

Man I've always wondered about the copyrights around stuff like this. While this toy is clearly not marketing itself as an FN Scar, it's obviously based on it, as is the one from the game, so it makes me wonder if at some point Epic or Hasbro talked to or were contacted by FN or Accuracy International about them using designs so similar to their products. On another note, while it's obviously from a video game, does anyone else find it kinda concerning that we're sorta normalizing real weapons for kids? Like, it was one thing using nerf guns as a kid that obviously didn't look like actual guns, but it seems a bit different with these ones literally just looking like cartoony real world weapons that one could paint and easily pass off as a real one to people who don't know better. Feels like it's normalizing real weapons a bit too much for little kids IMO.

Thing is I own the silencer pistol fun fact the silencer for the pistol actually helps it with accuracy so not having the silencer will decrease your accuracy I speak from experience

@WildPepper well of what I learned the gun is good with or without the silencer but I did realise that when I fire it without silencer it did kinda go a little like a fling thing like it would curve a little too much but with the silencer it did work a little more better it did go more straight but I'm not saying it went more accurate from far but its does from close kinda like a real fortnite pistol thats more accurate from close but without the silencer it did go a little farther so with the silencer its more for close so like a little base nerf war but without silencer is kinda for more far

Just bought the Scar because my son really wanted it, when playing around I noticed there was a rubber gate like thing with teeth that the dart has to pass through which potentially limits the speed of the dart, presumably this effects the distance, I have since removed this and noticed an improvement.

I brought the scar and had to return it as soon as I opened it because the motor wouldn't work. I had to get another one ordered from a different store. we opened it and it fired 4 shots from 10 shot clip and motor stopped working again WTF. i don't recommend buying it and i won't be getting another replacement
