When I used to play paintball, I rocked a 45 degree or angled tank ASA adapter as that was my preference. Wish there was such an optional with this setup! Love the fact that this a mechanical build, less to go wrong. Reminds of the OG AGD days......screw you Smartparts, we haven't forgotten.

Good to see ya back on camera, Spec. I agree that a top rail would be a nifty addition to the blaster. In my case, I think I would extend the barrel shroud out a bit and place a rail underneath so that a grip could be placed for better ergonomics and control, especially when using the larger HPA bottles. I also would probably create some sort of stock attachment that would fit onto the bottle itself, also for ergonomics. I'm a small guy, so these little additions for myself would benefit me greatly if I decide to begin a project like this.
@SpectreNerf5 жыл бұрын
I disagree on the front handguard part - I'm also a small guy and my hands sit perfect in close to the magwell and hugs the round curves of the handguard super comfortably. As for the top, I've updated the Thingiverse link barely an hour ago with a Picatinny topped cover and barrel for those that want that option. As for the stock? 13ci tanks have stocks made specifically for them to cover the bottle, so you can purchase those as you please from ANSgear.

This is fantastic! You should add a sight or picatiny rail on top for said sights.
@SpectreNerf5 жыл бұрын
Dean from BlasterTECH glued a monolithic rail onto the top of his ones. I'm not personally all that interested myself as I feel-fire far more than I ever ADS, but I can share the model files for those interested in editing them for their own purposes.

I've updated the Thingiverse link now with Picatinny-topped cover and barrel files, for those interested in doing exactly that. Might get a set printed myself just to try it out with a sight.

It would be awesome if this had a microswitch trigger to toggle a MAC solenoid. One would be an electro pneumatic version while the one in this video is the 'mechanical' version.
@SpectreNerf4 жыл бұрын
Feel free to try and figure out how to fit one of those in. And a battery, while you're at it. It sure would be awesome, but I have yet to find a solenoid that would make a comfortable grip-mounted noid suitable for Nerf purposes. All the models I've found have either been too large or so small that their flow rates sucked ass.
@Clickbaiters4 жыл бұрын
@@SpectreNerf Well, after some browsing I see someone has already done this! They even made the Super Core a closed bolt! kzbin.info/www/bejne/hae9g5mcnZhno9E
@SpectreNerf4 жыл бұрын
@@Clickbaiters that's not a MAC solenoid. That's a Chinese ripoff version of a Clippard MME-31PES solenoid and is significantly poorer quality. I know the build, I told them the solenoid I've been using for a similar project and Gabe (the designer) looked for a cheaper alternative.
@Clickbaiters4 жыл бұрын
@@SpectreNerf I apologize, I thought it had a MAC solenoid in there but the concept is there. I'm just waiting on those Super Cores to ship out so I can start a build!

What's the operating pressure range? Would it be possible to run this off an LPA/compressor setup?
@SpectreNerf5 жыл бұрын
Operating pressure range is 15-150psi - I don't recommend running it off a compressor setup as I don't believe the compressor could sustain semi auto as well as these HPA bottles do.
@MishraArtificer5 жыл бұрын
@@SpectreNerf Might be able to run a SpeXBZ on a minicompressor, since you have to cycle the bolt manually on those (which takes more time). You'd still have to wait a second or two between shots, though. I seem to recall someone in one of MonkeyTron Collective's videos having that setup in a Longstrike...which I was VERY curious about at the time.
