Just got the Ward and the problem of the second barrel losing power is real. First thought I got a dude but you confirm it is not. My fix is simple by putting some sticky tape inside the barrel so any old dart will fit tighter and shooting strong again. Funny I saw this on the shelf last week but failed to check out because the staff said it is meant to be released on the 4th of July here in Sydney. But I managed to buy it from another Kmart for 9 AUD yesterday. Saw also the smaller pistol Flex for 5 AUD and the huge Infinite for 55 AUD. May get them later but love Pinpoint and electric Sprinter more. I am new to the hobby (3 months) and already bought a few dozen blasters from many brands old and new. Love anything new but found the color scheme of this series styled too much like a water gun. So probably won't go crazy and bought all I can lay my hands on.

I have modified two of the Ward blasters, and it is very weird on the inside. Everything from a big slit in the plunger tube to the catch to the AR. Honestly, I was able to get mine to hit 75 to 90 fps, and 95 to 115 fps with a brass barrel, a ton of lube, and removing the smart AR. If you have modding experience, it's a pretty good mod for cheep that will get you a single shot muzzle loader that hits 100+ fps. I uploaded a short review a few days ago talking about it. To my knowledge I am the only person to mod the Ward. Hope this was somewhat helpful.

I only purchased the agility to elite/short dart it but my massive hands don’t fit it well it was a $9 loss but oh well live and learn . Great video!

I had the same worry. If the back of the dart get slightly deformed they would fire at all. Also the price of these darts are insane. I wanna try those new nitro darts.

Bro, when the $5 "sampler" is the best blaster in the line...it ain't it. When you got dart zone's X blasters (plus a low power spring for the casuals) available... the N-series blasters aren't even a comparison. It's time to put down the copium and move on.

5:54 slight correction, but your math is wrong. You see, the bigger the pack you buy, the cheaper it is per dart. I believe the largest that we have seen is a 100 pack, but we don’t any information on how much cheaper that is gonna be. Edit: however, the second largest pack is around 19 cents per dart. Edit2: the thing I personally like about N-Series, from a consumer standpoint, is that the flywheeler of the line can shoot 90 fps or the same as a dart zone spectrum, while being able to be sold to more people.

I really hope the price can drop on the darts and that the line can be more consistent? Like... I grabbed an Agility, and I actually really enjoy it. For $10 it's a great revolver and I like the performance bump to N Series over Elite, I think it's cool to see them trying to do a big performance bump, even though I know people don't like the proprietary darts. With N Series aiming 8+ and being a companion to a continued Pro line that uses half darts (and hopefully more of the recent Rival stuff, and maybe more Mega XL eventually...). My view is largely; people (especially hobbyists) didn't like and weren't really buying much Nerf Elite stuff as it was. They were cheaply made, underpowered, and used bad darts, and not much got people saying nearly anything positive outside of a rare Double Punch. I barely remember the last Nerf review I saw of a Hasbro Elite dart blaster that wasn't "it's fine but overpriced" at best. I dislike the copy protected darts and their cost right now (please stop calling it 'Dart DRM', DRM is 'Digital Rights Management' and darts aren't digital), but if people want stuff that uses Elite darts, there's plenty out there from X Shot and Dart Zone and Adventure Force using the old elite darts that people were going to be buying over Nerf stuff anyway. I think better performance and a better dart and lower prices with this line in general is nice, so long as we don't have any quality issues like you ran into with the Ward. We're also having some fun new stuff like the Infinite's belt magazine. Short darts are obviously better than the N1 darts, but that's what the Pro line looks to be for. I'm willing to give this line a chance and see how things shake out. I don't hate the N1 dart and I'm curious to see if anyone can do fun stuff with the ammo. I think the Agility at least is a really solid blaster and I have a pretty positive experience with the darts as-is, even though they are too expensive. At least the blasters do give you a lot of them packed in, almost double-your-darts across the board. Maybe I'm giving Hasbro a bit too much credit and trust though, considering how they've run stuff into the ground historically and more recently.

We have easily over 100 blasters. Most of them are thrifted, but some were gifts or clearance. Why then would I want another type of ammo from a new line of blasters that haven't done anything to impress me? They look cheap and I have plenty of blasters that do the same thing better or amuse me with their unique functions. The N-Series just feels like a scam. Let me know when they make something that amuses me as much as my Air Warriors Cyclonic with a 35 round drum that I got at a Goodwill for $6.

Same. For a collector/hobbyist these darts offer nothing. I’ll wait for a better design to come out and mod it to fire standard diameter darts. These darts make me appreciate Ultra.

@@sweetlikechocothai I'm anxiously awaiting the Dart Zone Nitro line. If they make anything even close to the quality of the Outlaw, I'll be in heaven. My preference is revolvers and sniper rifles, but I'd love a Venom as backup.

@@100Servings I like revolvers mainly like the outlaw, hammershot, and trailblazer, But I have also have a Phoenix 2.0 and a Purple camo nexus for higher FPS.

I was kinda harsh on N-series at first. but honestly, Nseries is good for modding. you can rebarrel it for elite or short darts super easily without too much tooling and it shoots it 120 fps (or so I've seen) So the ward is a good secondary and the infinite is a good primary (becuase it does the same but 150 fps out of the box). But hasbro stated officially that they make most of thier money from the darts. So buying the blasters and modding them up to take elite darts is the biggest way to send the message that not a single person cares for thier rediculuos Nseries drm dart shenanigans...

$5 for a 2 shot blaster? This would be a good entry for anyone using it, wether kids or adult, this blaster just serve its purpose well as an entry level or pistol type sidearm Tho i still will stick with Xshot cause they still have the Horrorfire line which im hyped on

I bought the Pinpoint for the sole purpose of Half Dart conversion (Which works Great)... But yeah, N-Series is a huge mistake

Im not a fan of the new dart, particaulary the air restrictor and how it seals. However everything else design-wise about these blasters is very sound, i just made some drop-in parts to convert the pinpoint to short darts and so far I've achieved 140 fps while still keeping it pinky-primable.

I think I’ve said it before but even my 4 and 5 year olds understand hitting targets with the blasters so the whole kids don’t care about accuracy is not true. We throw away elite darts so my kids can actually use their blaster and hit their targets. Not to mention how is it that the N Series can hit as hard as rival blasters but still be for 8 year olds? Honestly I’m curious to see who if anyone actually buys into this because I just see Hyper 2.0 with this line.

Good take! I just never understood why accuracy was never a focal point for Hasbro if the point of any Nerf game or “war” is to hit what you’re shooting at. What a crazy concept, huh? 😂

N-Series doesn hit as hard as Rival, the FPS may almost the same but Rival Balls are much more heavy with almost 2g. For comparison, a Rival ball at 100 FPS has the same Energy as 140 FPS Worker HE.

@@notnuffnerf I may be just statistics thing, the look at their sales and saw that AccuStrike doesn't perform better then Elite so they dropped it. That may be the whole reason, why they think that accuracy doesn't matter to kids. And in a way it may be right, most kids get one Blaster from their Parents, play some weeks and then they lose interest like many kids. And if you have one blaster, you don't know it could be better or worse, you have no comparison. In my country it is much more pronounced because NERF has almost no competion here, most parent and kids will never know there are other options. Also one thing is when people get into the hobby they understand very fast, that NERF darts are to expensive so they start to buy cheaper china copies or X-Shots that are just as good (Dart Zone is to expensive here because you have to import them).

The arguement that "it's only for kids" is kinda tone-deaf towards kids. Kids are easily disappointed and going to move on from your shit super fast if your product sucks. So a product especially designed for kids should work flawless and with kids being the operators even be very forgiving to some degree of abuse. Therefore nerf has no excuse at all for the kids line to be flawed. Especially not when R&D took you 2 years. I bet they did 23 months of 💦💦 on hasbro's expense and then rush the product within 1 month of actual R&D to the market.
