It’s not a clip! It’s a magazine! A clip just holds darts and the actual blaster has a system of getting the darts to the barrel, and a magazine has a spring that gets the darts to the barrel

MAGAZINE NOT CLIP magazines are a mechanically fed unit that feeds ammo into the breach chamber the key aspect is that they have a spring in them to propel the ammo into the gun/blaster. Clips do not have a spring and it is the blaster / gun that is moving the clip through the system moving to the next projectile
