First song that introduced me to dubstep as a young child. My mom would drag me with her to Walmart and I’d always wander over to the headphones section and listen to the music. I put these beats headphones on and this song started playing. I was absolutely mind blown, I’d never heard anything like that in my life. Went home and KZbind all the lyrics I could remember. This song shaped me into the strange bass head that I am today

5alt no it stopped around 2015 when skrillex began to change his style and dj’s like Nero, netsky , bassnecatar, etc began to fall off or change up there paths. Not that this is a bad thing more power to them but sounds and synths began to change towards a more generic you could say sound with more eccentric vocals and a less powerful rhythm than most edm today, mainly because that is what sells it’s popular so why not capitalize on it which is why most Djs and producers have moved in from the sound.

I can’t help but being instantly thrust back into old memories when I hear this song (crazy how certain music does that, huh?), I was like 17, right before the beginning of my serious drug experimenting, firstly being ecstasy/mdma faze, admittedly some of the most innocent and best times of my life. Shortly after, I wound up stepping into the bear trap that is opiate and other hard drug addiction for the next 8 years, in and out of prison and jails and treatments and hospitals. Finally to be released for the last time almost 5 years ago now, at present day in which I’m now approaching 30, many years clean and sober, a college degree (and license) in Addiction Counseling, a certification as a Recovery Mentor, and I’m back to listening to the music that brought me so much joy before I fell into such darkness (funnily enough, once I was in my addiction, all I ended up listening to was gangster rap, to reinforce my shitty lifestyle; go figure). Idk why I felt the need to share such intimate details about myself and my story in a random KZbin comment that nobody will see, but this kind of music elicits a type of nostalgic emotion in me that makes me want to share positive stories of redemption, because I know in my younger years, I did actually read some of those long, more “heart-to-heart” type of KZbin comments from people, and I drew inspiration from them, even if it was only little bits here and there. As silly as it sounds, they are a teeny tiny part of who I am today. So if I did that for you, great. If you’re not quite there yet, that’s fine too. You’re worth something in this life either way. 🤝

That's so crazy. Thank you for sharing. I used to listen to this when I was 14-15 and cutting myself pretty badly because of depression. I still struggle with depression, but not as badly and I have not been cutting in a long time. I'm 21 now and I was so surprised how I felt when I heard this song after so many years. It didn't really hurt as much as I feared. Actually now this song feels quite nice to listen to. I guess it really does get better, if you just keep trying. I am glad to hear you survived and stopped using drugs. Hope everyone reading this and listening this song are doing well 💝
