the game really does a good job in showing how the 3 swords of sparda and the 3 heirs of sparda do link together. dante and vergil, just like rebellion and yamato, are forces that eternally oppose each other for being opposites. nero, just like the sparda sword, is the force that brings harmony and balance to the opposing forces. it really is fascinating when you delve into the links of the heirs and swords of sparda and can come up with fascinating theories about how they all connect together

This is my favorite scene of the game on a myriad of levels. One being how Nero solves his dad's and uncle's sibling rivalry, by doing what his father would do. The one thing Nero wants most is a family and to know his family. This day he found out the guy that was like a father figure to him is his uncle, he also found out who his father is, and he found out that they wanted to kill each other. Nero taking a page out of Vergil's book decided to take what he wanted through force. If they were going to try and kill each other, Nero would beat sense into both of them. Dante probably figured it out and thought it was interesting and let Nero have a go. What makes Nero's Devil Trigger even more interesting, and impressive is that he pulled it off all on his own. He didn't have any help from grandpa Sparda (I don't think Grandpa Sparda could have guessed that Vergil would have a kid). He dug deep and made a miracle using his own will. TLDR: Nero took a page out of his own father's book to stop the sons of Sparda from killing each other. Grandpa Sparda would be proud.

Allow me to nerd out here. Dante rejects his demon side while embracing his human side, Vergil rejects his human side and embraces his demon side. Making them both powerful but flawed. Nero lived most of his life being visibly part demon, and as such has accepted both his demon and human sides, therefore he is the complete form of Dante or Vergil, which is why he’s stronger than them by themselves, however they can still beat him when working together (as seen at 10:41) because when together dante and Vergil form the same whole as Nero does by himself. Dante and Vergil obviously have more combat experience than Nero which is why they outmatch him together

Well there's a lot of factors to Nero beating Vergil. Vergil was tired yes but Nero wasn't in much better shape. Supposedly Nero has much more potential than Dante and Vergil because ironically being 25% demon gives him better control over his powers cause there's more of his human side to keep the demon in check. Nero technically didn't "beat" Vergil by conventional means, just put up a good fight. Vergil himself claims that he can still go on, and considering what he does immediately after this fight, he clearly wasn't lying. So it was more like Vergil respected Nero's strength enough to submit rather than Nero outright beating him

Demons get their powers from consuming human blood. So in the case of Hybrids like the Sparda family, their 50% human DNA is constantly feeding their demon sides. Since Nero is only ¼ demon, his demon blood is constantly having a proverbial feast on human blood, which will grant him more power and stamina. Also, Vergil was pretty gassed after his fight with Dante, as they were both going for broke in their fight that Nero interrupted. If Vergil was fresh, he would've stomped Nero out easily, but Nero will get to be stronger in the long run.
