I would declare Cuir Beluga the best vanilla ever. Its magical on skin. Very soft and light, but i can smell it in the air the whole day...

I love Neroli Outrenoir and Cuir Beluga. Both brilliant in their own profile. Outrenoir is currently one of Guerlain's best sellers. The Myrrhe & Delires is long discontinued and I never tried it. Santal Pao Rosa is shite.

Wearing a Santal pao Rosa sample was the only time in the last year I've been asked to step away from my usual group 😅 Cuir Beluga ❤❤ Neroli Outrenoir was a love for me until I tried Neroli Plein Sud - and of all I find Nerolia Vetiver works admirably. Very glad to hear your thoughts on all these.

Cuir Beluga used to be my wife’s favorite fragrance, till she tried Belle Ame! I find Diptyque Eau Duelle to be in the same vein as Cuir Beluga.

Cuir Beluga is extremely subtle but I find it so lovely. I feel a connection with Dior Homme but with added vanilla and even more elegant/expensive smelling. Santal Pao Rosa and really everything from the past couple years released in the line is pretty dire :-/

Yeah the lady ten years has seen Guerlain fall off the map, it's a terrible thing

Since they changed hands to one of the cosmetic emporiums all connection with the old Guerlain house is gone. I went to Paris two years ago and the fountains were gone for good, all turned into an ordinary cosmetic and perfume counter. How sad.

I was considering blindbuying a decant of Santa Pao Rosa, but I can't stand that generic sledgehammer saffron oud thing so I will pass. Thanks for calling it out. Yikes! I''ve noticed some of the later Art and Material line have a sledgehammer approach. Oud Kohl was particularly harsh - to me. It's such a big contrast to what 'I think' they usually do.

You can tell the later releases a mile away I think, harsh. I think I'm just not a fan of the modern style tbh

The ouds are a total disconnect from Guerlain and really off putting. The Art et La Matiere reconversion and price hike adding worthy - but much cheaper- classics like Le Frenchy at suddenly 3 times its previous cost and awful additions like those “ouds” has been heartbreaking. I’m not interested in the brand anymore, except for the Shalimar releases perhaps- and it was my absolute favourite.

Out of curiosity did Eugen say whether they're current or older versions? Haven't tried these except Cuir Beluga and I'm not keen on that one. Neroli Outrenoir sounds lovely. I liked Angelique Noir but Iris Torrefie is a bit weird.

Cuir beluga is amazing. Give it more tries. Cuir Beluga, Bois d’armenie,Angelique noir, Iris torrefie are all great. I prefer to wear them in fall-spring. Not that great in the summer.

Does Cuir Beluga remind you of any Chanel perfume? Vanilla pods do have flowers which are a type of orchid. I've never smelled one.

It does have that floral but vanillic tone, it's very nice I'm just not sure I wanna smell that way myself

Neroli outrenoir is so good! I thought it was to feminine at first but didn't care & bought it anyway. After giving it a few wearing's it's definitely unisex. Amazing quality puts 99% of niche fragrances to shame
