@@Yanzinator I can actually explain this. Neru made the club with the intent of them being secret agents, an excuse to blow things up, but since it was supposed to be a secret a cover was needed. It is implied in the C&C group event that they had gone through several different identities but were forced to settle on maids, partly because they convinced people for a time they really were just maids thanks to being forced to open a maid café. Asuna joined because she considers herself Neru's best friend, both are third years and she is Neru's second in command so it makes sense. Akane joined because, in her own words, she felt from the moment she was born it was her duty to serve her "master" who by that point is sensei. Karin joined because she thought it was an actual maid club since she wanted to learn skills to open a successful café and be a good wife, again by this point, to sensei but stays since she considers the maid club her friends. Finally is Toki who official was part of C&C but more of acted as Rio's bodyguard but was transferred to C&C following Rio's resignation from Seminar. She is rarely seen with them though as she is rather shy and lacks social skills, something only Neru is annoyed about but more so because she threw her off a building. Neru has expressed wanting to change their theming but is stopped by literally everyone else liking being maids more than agents. That said, they also show a fondness for the bunny suits, again not Neru since it further highlights her lack of "size" compared to the others, so it is possible that they all would be fine with any disguise but Neru would always find a reason to complain.

@@orpheusthepoet3149 wasnt c&c around before sensei arrived at kivotos? Howd you get this info? I feel like youve combined stories out of order and headcannoned reasons for it, though that might be me not having completed all their relationship events.
