Japanese version doesn't have that unplayable dificulty barrier, I strongly sugest you play it. Is called Mad City

Says you. I was able to beat it, but I will say if you don't go into the last two stages already with the whip and body armor, your ass is through. And if you die before finishing hte game, also forget it.

@@MarquisLeary34 I seem to remember that there's a way to "cheat" in this game. If you play the Practice Mode first, for some reason the game will let you keep whatever weapons and armor you picked up in Practice Mode. Starting out with a Whip makes most of the game a pushover. XD

@@Zaxares You can't start out with a whip, as it never shows up until the 6th stage (which practice doesn't cover) and I'm not sure you can even keep the stick either. All practice mode let you keep was an extra life (Driving practice) Extra bullets (shooting practice) and a meatball item that instantly refills your health after it's first depletion (fighting practice) That said, when I had a ROM with a game genie function enabled, I did try playing the game with the whip from the start and you're correct, it was stupid easy :D

@@ryumishima44 My only gripe with Mad City was that some of the levels seemed cut and shortened. Otherwise, yea, it's a much more reasonable difficulty.
