Good list. Agree with most ratings, except I think Kid Icarus is too highly rated (I want my $5 back after buying that garbage game for my 3DS) & Super Dodgeball is a bit too underrated, IMO. I still have never played River City Ransom. 🙁. Imma purchase it once I get some more Nintendo card money. Good stuff!

You've never played River City Ransom??? Mate that game is amazing I would really recommend it. The combination of beat em up with RPG elements was really ahead of its time for the NES. What was your all time favourite on the NES??

Thanks for asking. My favorite NES game is actually a game I didn’t own: The Legend of Zelda. In fact, not only is it my favorite NES game, but it may just be my all time favorite video game ever. I don’t know what my favorite game is, but whenever I’m asked, that’s always the game that pops into my head. As I said, my brother (nearly 2 years younger than I) & I never had the game. My twin cousins (who were only 6 months younger than I) had the game, & since we lived just 5 minutes or so from each other, we were always sleeping at each other’s houses, & I played it a lot when I went to their house. My brother & I asked my parents for it, but they did what parents do & got us the wrong game: they got us Zelda 2. I wasn’t a whiny kid (I’m being honest, I was never bratty with things like that) so I didn’t tell them that it wasn’t the game I wanted. My brother & I just played it & enjoyed it... but it still was no Zelda 1, lol. It’s also funny that my second favorite NES game, Mario 2, was also a game we didn’t have (again, it was my cousins who had it). It was the only NES Super Mario game we didn’t have in our house, but it’s my favorite. It’s actually tied with Sonic 2 (for Sega Genesis) for my favorite 2D platform game ever made. My younger bro was like you though-he preferred Super Mario 3. He beat the game when he was only 6 years old. He also beat Mega Man 3 (another great game) back then, too. Come to think of it, he was one heck of a good NES gamer! 😆. Sorry that message was so long, but talking NES brings up memories that I like talking about 🙂.

@@cauldronofstardust I don't know why but as a kid I never really got I to Zelda much (I know I know shame on me) I think because it was my first experience at an RPG and I didn't really know what I was suppose to do. I guess up untill that point my gaming experience consisted heavily with arcade games and Atari so when I played it I had no idea what to do. Now a link to the past on SNES was a different story.
