Whenever I hear "Ahead On Our Way" I think about one of the happiest times of my life. It was February of 1999 and I discovered emulators and ROMs for the first time. Somebody had translated Final Fantasy 5 and I enjoyed it. It felt good to play video games that I thought I would never have the opportunity to play. Also, it felt good to see that for every one good game that wasn't sold in the USA, 10 were either mediocre or awful.
Very impressive that the entire soundtrack was done this way. The only things I would have liked to hear more of: More variation in dynamics such as attack and release, and utilization of effects like pitch bending/modulation.
