Mine too! I didn’t remember what system/ the name of the game/ or that it was a sequel but just ran into it after watching teenage Mutant ninja turtles play through while bored with COVID. I haven’t played this since like 97’ and I still remember all of the little level songs, power ups, and sound effects like it was yesterday (I also remember when I was a cheater and used game genie on this one there was a part where you would get stuck when a jack in the box hit you if you had infinite health on because of the stars above the head thing having to play out every hit.

Me and my cousin literally spent every weekend just replaying this game when we were in elementary school. I always played Chip and she always played Dale. But back then we had the Japanese version of the game and cannot understand any of the texts, so we just called them "The one wearing hat" and the "Bald one". T__T So nostalgic.

Rented this game as a kid but had to take it back because the ghost enemy scared the crap outta me and I mean the one with flaming head and hands. As a kid, it looked so much bigger and scarier; it's amazing how things look like as a kid.
@EngPheniks Жыл бұрын
the portrait of the man with the hat, in the haunted mansion level that changes its face when the lights get dark used to creep me out. it's amazing when as a kid you find video games more creepy than the movies. they provide you that strange atmosphere which movies don't have.

One of my childhood games which I still absolutely love - I beat it again yesterday, I can't count which time :D It's a masterpiece for its time - the gameplay, the music, the graphics, it's awesome! I've always had the Japanese version, so I didn't understand anything - thanks to this video I've finally found out what the plot is ;)

For an 8-bit platform, Chip 'n Dale's Rescue Rangers 2, the sequel to the 1990 video game for the NES, comes off rather well and, if anything, makes you wish for a 16-bit version!

@ 10:47 the player guys should have take that bonus stage. It can only be accessed by 2 players and as far as I remember one should thow the other in while walking. If one ranger picks the other up or a (crate) and walks continuosly it starts to flash. If the ranger is thrown while flashing you can hurt enemies and don't get hurt while in flying animation. You can kill ghost boss this way even without balls it leaves behind.They could also use feinted enemies instead of avoiding them like 05:02

50:28 a more efficient way to deal with the Fatcat Robot is by making it hurt itself. If a bomb falls from the same spot the Danger warning shows, don't grab the bomb, as it will explode anyway, hurting the boss in the process.

@robbert96112 жыл бұрын
This game is rare and worth a good chunk of money to collectors, especially if you have the box, manual and everything. About 1.5K in great condition as of 2022. The reason is when it was released in 1993, the Super NES had already been around for 3 years, so Nintendo was ramping down production of NES cartridges to get people into the new system. On top of this, the show ended in 1990, so interest in merchandising the Rescue Rangers was fading fast. Still a solid game for the time and many fans of the first one were pleased that even though it was a sequel, they stuck to the formula and aesthetic of the first.

Plus, I played it on a PAL-speed NES clone, so the music was slower and even more epic! It wasn't until the second half of the 2000s that I realized that as a kid I played all the games slower than they are supposed to. They are better than way though, at least the music :)

I loved both the cartoon and the games as a kid. I got a pirated "famicom" version of this game in an asian language, back in 1994 when I was 6 or 7 years old. I think both this and the previous 1990 game surpass the source material. I enjoy playing the games more than watching the cartoon. These games are so original that are even enjoyable for adults. While the cartoon seems to target better for just kids.

I was the eldest child so I usually played alone (sometimes with dad) back then using japanese version (we don't even know what's the texts). There are areas and bonus that can only be reached by using 2 players. Second boss is the hardest. Other than that, the one in the ship because the platfrom is sinking. Surprisingly the last one is quite easy even compared to other level.
