That may be because this isn't a direct port of the Megadrive game, this is a port of the Game Boy game, which in turn was a port of the Megadrive game.

It's actually the same developpers that made the game for the Game Boy that ported it on the NES. They just didn't bother and made the same game with some few shitty colors added here and there. That game came out in december 1994. At this time you had games on the NES such as Kirby's Adventures or Megaman 5...

this was not made by super game, this was *Virgin Interactive Entertainment*. There is literally a better NES conversion of Aladdin by Hummer Team, a bootleg Taiwanese game company.

What's strange is, there are loads of unlicensed ports of Aladdin. Most of them better than this. Super Game made a port of the genesis version which is missing a few levels but plays good, and Hummer Team made a very good port of the SNES version that feels official.

First of all props for your impeccable game play. 👏👏👏. The only redeeming factor of this game is that it stayed fully devoted to the story line of the movie but still the entire flow of the game is pedestrian, in terms of graphics, game play and level structure this game is a utter abomination, and in spite having a story line reference this game is still pedestrian all throughout, it's hard to believe that this was released at twilight of NES console, cause I could easily name a whole lot of NES games that were released few years prior which are far superior in terms of all the touchstones I mentioned above. Truly, truly an underwhelming game!

Aladdin 3 was, yes, just a licensed game with an Aladdin title but it was once again better than this Aladdin (hummer team) was an amazing port of the SNES game that looks as if it was licensed Those are all bootlegs

Why it's ugly port? 1. Rushed development, that led the game to below problems. 2. It's port of Game Boy version. Porting from Game Boy to NES is really bad. 3. Like Game Boy version, the "Select" button is used for change weapons. But weapons, while changing, doesn't warn player with sound. 6. Color palette is worse than Deadly Towers. Not to mention, this is 1994 game. Even worse, 1983-1985 games have good graphics. 7. Animations are stiff. For example, when Aladdin falls down, his animation is one-sprite. 8. Sound effects are like crying baby. 9. Music is repetitive and worse than The Lion King (NES). 10. HUD sometimes is white or black. 11. The store in the game will not let you know which button to press to buy an item. 12. It is shortest port of Aladdin (Virgin Games) ever. 13. The Walt Disney Company in the game is named misspelled. 14. There are unlicensed Aladdin games are better than licensed version (this game).
