Man. I think I was around 8 or 9. Now, I'm 28. I used to play this with my cousin and if I remember correctly there was 8 stages in total. One day, we were aiming to beat the game, however my cousin had used up all of her lives and stopped playing around stage 5. It was like mission impossible for me, I went on a mission to not get hit once in the last three stages and beat the game alone! Well, I accepted the challenge, I couldn't turn back. My cousin watched me play for long as I tried to beat the game, and cheered every time I defeated another level, another boss. She was delirious and screaming every time I was close to being hit, but I survived everything as if my life depended on it! You know, she was saying stuff like "I'll get you this and that if you can beat the game!" Kinda trying to motivate me. And when I finally beat the final boss with just one live left, my cousin lost her mind!! I was looking at the victory screen, shocked even by my own performance. What a great memory, we both remember it as if it happened yesterday. What a lovely game. I'm so happy to have experienced this.
