First of all the title of song Piya Re is a iconic song and it's not a easy job to recreate it. Because this song is already listened, liked and loved by millions of people. Picking up song like this is a great responsibility because you have to justify it on every terms. When this song started with a particular instrument I was clueless how this song is going to transform into what is written in bold letter, Piya Re, and from its starting I wasn't sure that Nescafe Basement could do it. But when I listened to whole song I was speechless and mesmerized. What a marvel piece of music they have created. I was so impressed that I even planned to write a brief on its minute details and musical diversity this song has. So here it the second by second unboxing of this song.. hope you enjoy it. 00:07-00:28 This is kind of a introduction part of the song where it's cute progressive march of guitar on lead, Roli Board and environment is creating first layout of this song. 00:28-00:40 This part introduce Tabla with very diverse beats that is exactly same with the lead or you say main lead you are listing from the beginning. This is kind of first solid base for our song. 00:40 - 01:45 On the 40th second of the song the male voice hitting our ear drums and we can feel what is coming ahead. It's a sweet pleasant Alaap that proceed gradually in coming seconds. Here we can see that how perfectly the previous progressions are working well with this Alaap more and more part of Roli Board is visible in this part. 01:45-02:00 This time period is introduction of rock instrument and feel in this song that is making it more intresting than before. The advent of Electric guitar and drums are filling up the empty spaces and making it more more and more impatient for listener to wait for the main drop. Here we can hear male voice hitting some high notes that are contributing in the high march of all instruments for the main drop 02:25 Piya re this is point when we realise that this song is one of a master piece beautifully crafted for us, cream listener of music. 02:37 Here the song is on semi bold stage the word I prefer to use and easily understood. This stage is not the full but not starting stage too. This stage delivers half of music. It is giving us the feel but still keeping us deprive of what it has. 02:45 tha single strum on on Naine no kaisi tera Jadu kiya re is very touching as it throw us back to original feel of this song. This is where bass guitar takes his part and we are just mesmerized with the notes bassist hitting on it. Fabulous 02:58 By this time we are fully into this song, with all this instrument for Mukhada, are doing their part. This is magical to see how beautifuly they have used this classic song. What I call it is a Bold state of song. 03:13 This is time for voilin to take part and mark starting for interlude 1 this is important from diversion point of view and we are picked up from that musical lane to another and we are watching it from other lane. This is like we are suddenly transported to another lane in same direction 03:24 Here we can see how lead guitar is dominating the music alley and filling this song with its charm.. 03:46 The magical bass roll It's mainly used 2 times in while song. This the first time. 03:34 This time period show Jugalbandi of all instruments with dominate instruments Drums , Guitar And Violin. 03:57 This is the point where tabla bassist and the male lead is in complete coordination. You can easily see the bass pattern and tabla beats catching each other. And the male lead is slicing off in between them giving us perfect Antra for this song. And single strums on Dhak Dhak Dhak is fabulous. 04:17 This is all singer's credit to pull this song on high level with words Bole Basuria Sun Re Sawariya 04:29 Finger tapping at this point is hardly audible but it's giving celestial background this song 04:31 Only singer and tabla is like a quite drop in song and silence before the tornado 04:37 Yes it is time for Harmoinum with his magical speed the player has match the singer accurately in Sur Jumps. 04:39 That short drum roll and taking us back to fully bold state of song and putting us back to that lane we were travelling before. 04:49 Single strums of guitar is throwing us back to original state of song but also reminding us that we have changed this song and still we are same in feeling. 05:09 This is magical part in term music progression as we can see it's closely associated with notes pattern used in main lead but still we can differentiate it. Voilin is played in 4 circle. The first two circle are same complimented with side drum or floor tom. On second circle at 05:13 shaker is added. It brings us back to starting point and we are speechless that how beautifully the composer has transported us from one lane to another. I don't think that anything more innovative can be done with this part. I was just amazed with it. 05:51 Here it's time for male lead to control the song with his beautiful voice. His ups and downs in voice are magical and arrangement is outstanding. Plus the whole orchestra is doing outstanding on this moment 06:12 and 06:22 nad 06:33 Drumer is doing his best on these points and we barely see that anything disturb us from diving into this song 06: 44 The magical bass roll Is used 2 time in this song if you are a bassist you can understand how important this bass roll is just magical. 06:36 The guitar lead is clearly audible and on zeneith of its progression 06:57 The end is so soft with each instrument ending up slowly and creating that blank space that we observed in starting It's just like classical songs of A R Rehman he used this techniques in his songs where he leave song exactly how he has started. The whole experience was breathe taking and it was obvious for any music lover to get lost into it. Just outstanding by composer, arranger and performers . It's is next marvel after TERE JAYE AUR DISDA I know the composer are same for this two songs and he isa brilliant artist. I am so honored to call you guys next trend setter of live band music. The tradition that was started by Coke Studio Pakistan is now on your shoulders . And you are rocking it. It's your biggest fan from India and love you lot.
