With Iraq came Iraqi oil of course for England and the United Kingdom. Both generals were of the Church of the East, but Agha Petros was Catholic and he fought at the end of the war with Turkey but lost after one year, but he managed to save the armed men and their families as they were driven into Iran. This is WW I, of course. After Shah Muhammad Pahlavi lost his country to the Ayatollah Khomeini, the Shah left for the US, and all the Assyrians left Iran for the US, those who had relatives there of course -- Victor Nimrud Alexander

You guys want Assyria to rise we need to acknowledge Israel and believe me Assyria will rise. It is promised by God but first we have to acknowledge Israel. Look, we have a long history together and no one will take that away. Jesus himself forgave everyone who was involved in his crucifixion when asked the father to forgive them for they don’t know what they have done. This is why we should forgive them too. Lord said if we use force by force will vanish. It is time for our political leaders and church leaders to think the right way and get in touch with Israel leaders and start dialogue and star something for the sake of our people who are left in Middle East. I don’t think this is way to much we are asking for real peace. God bless.
