To set the water hardness on your Lattissima One, determine the water hardness using the test strip. Remove milk jug and switch the machine on. Press the milk drink button for 3 seconds to enter Menu mode: descaling and clean alerts start blinking. Press the espresso button. Within 15 sec, you can set the desired value by pressing the corresponding button. If you have 0 red and 4 green squares, press the milk button. The lights will blink 3 times rapidly to confirm new value. The menu exits automatically and machine returns to ready mode. For personal guidance, Andreea, call 800.562.1465, and a machine expert will be happy to guide you.
