Hey, my lovelies.
This is what you have all been waiting for a walk around of Ness see what she’s made of and the cost of everything. Please don’t judge us. Ha ha ha ha ha
They’re better ways to do this but this is the way that we chose. I hope you enjoy the video and can’t wait to see you next time.

Your truly blessed to have the support from Walter. It’s you that gets to go out and play with both jeeps, yet Walter is not only supporting you but actively involved. That is a major support but then there have been all the people that have to some extent put their lives on hold to build you your dream. I’m certain that as you reflect,you must step back and say WOW!

WOW! I am so glad you shared. Also glad you mentioned the "labor" time there at the end and also very very happy you did not put a $$ amount to it because I am sure most would have a heart attack 😉 I am thrilled you all were able to compete and so happy for all the support from everyone being able to see tid bits from there channel as well. I sure hope you got the needed rest and will be looking forward to your dailys.

123K? Honestly, NOT BAD! You can now add 2X the footage to your channel. Nessie will will bring in so many subscribers, I can feel it. Mischief Maker no longer has to shoulder all of the work. Having an AMAZING WOMAN like Holly as the face of your channel is going to start really paying off. I found you through #Mattsoffroad and I am so glad I did. This was an amazing build, and the cherryon top was getting to see so much more of her leading man, Walter! You are an incredible, and supportive husband. I hope we continue to see more of you. Thank you for sharing your lives.

I’m glad Walter mentioned a few other expenses not detailed. Y’all did an incredible job, but Walter said it. Y’all are in a unique, or close to it, position where you could take on a project like this due to all the teams supporting you. Very few of us have the ability to draw the talent you did to build this great race jeep. Congrats and go get some trophies!!!

Thank you both for sharing! Very much appreciated~ Please never apologize for taking time for yourselves. Life is too short to fret over what others think when you are doing things to make yourselves happy and there is no true value that can be assigned when you love something so much. Am super grateful that you brought us along for the ride so to speak. Looking forward to seeing whatcha come up with for your next adventure! And want Walter to know that even though he's typically in the background, we all know how much your love and support mean to your partners success and appreciate your efforts behind the scenes too~ Hope you both have a super week ahead!

So great seeing the "Sir Walter Loves Hollie" show! Yes $150,000.00 is a lot of money but still cheaper then many off road racing vehicles. Really love you both and your dedication to each other and the sport. Okay Walter, it's time to break the news to Hollie, you want a motorcycle to cruize and enjoy the wind as old Van does. Just tell your Lovely wife it'll be far cheaper than Mischief Maker or Nessie but you will have a back seat for her to ride along. I'm glad you made time to recover and not let the utube audience force you to make videos after the world wind weeks of building. I truly hope the problem during the race is easy and inexpensive to repair. You are in my prayers Hoka Hey

For what you spent, you got to shake it down a good bit after an accelerated build on your own. It was a DNF but you will still be racing and getting it dialed in. For most racing, this is actually pretty thrifty, but most racers are sponsored. You also had to set up your shop, so now your expenses will be in repairs, maintenance, and travel. Your shop space is going to help you outfit your trailers and tow rig to be better equipped on the road. Can't wait to see what's coming!👽

Indeed, the value of personal time spent adds up to quite a sum especially when you account for all the community support time from others. Like Walter said in effect... Not recommended for Joe average... Imagine that if the value of all the labor was accounted for the cost could end up being doubled. Makes my little $1,500 convertible street rally 4 cylinder sports car that I put another $1,500 into look like a real bargain. Best!

Honestly you should breathe a sigh of relief... Long ago and many moons a summer seasons... when I was in the military. My very best friend and I raced and built circle track cars to race at the local speedway track. That is a very reasonable price for all you have and the quality parts put into it. Another way to look at it... the cost of a new pickup... off the lot. Is very close to that. Add a lift, tires and wheels a few lights and you have a mall crawler that exceeds that cost. So great job... and feel relieved about the amount. It's all part of the business so yeah.. spend this time to fine tune things. Repair what ever it was that went wrong and next year. You will be racing... Walter was right you probably have more in the Mischief Maker.

Even taking in to account the fact you caught some sales 2 years ago, I am shocked you go it done that cheap to be honest. I was thinking between 150k and 175k. Considering how much ground you gained while racing, that is pretty good that the suspension has yet to be tuned. Sounds to me like find your gremlins, make the needed alterations and you will have a solid vehicle there. Well done you guys!! Time for Walter to figure out what he wants to do and get a vehicle built for his desires.

In all honesty, 126k isn’t bad at all when you consider the cost of buying a new jeep from a dealership, let alone one with that much capability! I mean, Walter mentioned MM is likely more expensive, and I get that! I’ve probably (definitely) out more than 100k into my own rig over time! I’m glad you guys did what you did, built what you built and here’s to whatever’s next!

not as bad as I thought. don't get me wrong. I would not want to pay for it. but I was guessing 150K. but, if you add roughly 900 hours of labor at a cost 75.00 per hour. you are looking at $67,500 per person... real cost is easy over 250K. Can not wait to see more racing with it. What other races are you looking at for this year? she looks great.

the best part of this, by actually having business doing what you love, its all a write off. also half the price of a new turnkey, and the benefit of content.
@JT_70
@JT_70 Жыл бұрын
All a write off does is reduces your taxable income by the amount of the write off, which is only a percentage of the expense. You also have to have taxable income to write the expense off against. It’s certainly not a dollar for dollar offset; no where near it. With no race winnings and only maybe income from sponsorships, how much do you think a write off is worth?
@nitrosrt4
@nitrosrt4 Жыл бұрын
@@JT_70 we dont know their income, so its really all a guess, but i imagine they spend most of their money on off road related expenses, really only being taxed on non offroad expenses, i cant even think of things they cant write off because of the traveling nature of the biz, its minimal. hotels, crawler hauler, cameras, shop, everything. as long as the income is more than the expense. the biggest thing i was pointing out is they do something they love, to most is a hobby and minimal tax is better than more tax. none of this can be written off of other income (sidejob/unrelated job) so who knows.
