Nessy the cockatoo - story of a life time, part 2

Nessy hatched miraculously in a filthy incubator in a filthy zoo with the worst conditions. Blessed by god with a strong will to live and experience life at its fully, Nessy survived and was raised with the most love, tenderness and care I could offer. May this angel rise and shine, spread its wings and show us what true love is.

...Nessy was taken away from me by excessive police force, wrongfully accusing me for "stealing". He was rightfully given to me because there was no chance for him to survive. Miraculously ♥ I succeeded against all odds. He was like a son to me, I was never told to bring him back, now that I quit they suddenly remembered?! Sweet child of mine, miss you, so worried for you. Hopefully soon we will be reunited. :~(

Beautiful videos Pt 1 and Pt 2! My husband and I have been blessed with a hybrid cockatoo (Umbrella & GSC) for the past 17 years. Our Amos was 18 months old when we got him. It takes a lot of love & dedication to do what you did. You have a good heart. Too many animals are mistreated & abandoned. I took in a 2 days old kitten there were 2 of them behind my sisters shed. She had one & I took the other one. I had my own business & took the little baby with me. A clock & hot water bottle & nice warm bed. Feeding every 2 hrs. Making him go to the toilet by gently massaging his tummy. He was the sweetest little thing & he was thriving. The kitten my sister had died. The vet administered all the necessary shots. He could not believe SHE not HE lol had been hand reared from a couple of days old. Lily grew into a beautiful cat. Loving & full of fun. It was worth all the work put in to hand rear her. So I do know first hand how much goes into hand rearing an animal. But worth it when you see the outcome. God Bless you.

So much like dinosaurs arn't they when they are chicks. Kudos to you for taking him on and bringing him up. Glad that he is mixing with other Parrots as is the correct way. A lifetime commitment for anyone not to be taken lightly! Shame on the zoo for the appalling conditions he was born into.

Es hermoso el gran amor que dan estas bellas aves....yo tengo un loro y es muy amoroso...un ser malvado lo estaba vendiendo estaba sucio pintado de su cabecita de amarillo y era muy agresivo, honestamente lo compre y me costo mucho trabajo quitarle toda la desconfianza y lo agresivo...ahora es lindo cariñoso me pide a su manera lo apapache...tengo varios años con el cuando lo adquirí tenia meses me dijo un veterinario. No lo pude dejar libre pues donde vivo esta muy lejos su hábitat... Lo adoro y consiento mucho, siempre esta cerca de mi...no sucede lo mismo con el resto de la familia...es un tanto desconfiado...pero a mi me quiere mucho y no desconfía de mi.....mi pequeño chispa...así se llama...tal vez si no lo hubiera comprado otro habría sido su destino, no toda la gente los cuida he visto otras personas que también tienen lorito, están sucios, delgados tristes y descuidados....yo a mi chispita lo cuido mucho...es mi sol....
