I changed routers, thus new PW, not cannot connect to indoor cam..so much time spent trying diff things. Way to much 💵invested in all these cams. I did try factory restart, light was supposed to go all white, always stayed blinking blue.

You basically showed what they tell you to do on the app. I’ve have drop cams for years and now have a total of 5 Google/Nest cams… too many of these connection issues. Since none of their “fixes” worked so far, I’m supposed to “connect to my computer” now according to the app. This entire fiasco started when All I did was reset my wifi password - good security protocol every once in a while. 3 cameras reconnected automatically and 2 are refusing . I’m going to get rid of these.

This happens with multiple cams when the power goes off very disturbing BS they wont even acknowledge is a big problem.Resetting outdoor cam 20 foot up is a pain

They won't acknowledge a lot of bs that goes in with these Nest cameras. Pisses me off and I wish I never bought them.

Does this work with all Nest Cameras? I have 2 outdoor cameras and one has remained offline after a power outage.

This totally helped me. I no brainer I know but until you know how to fix it, it's frustrating. They should just have a sign in.

I can confirm this is a temp fix at best and does not solve the issue. The issue I believe is Google ever since they started this migration nonsense there have been so many issues. This issue for my Nest cam started Friday just gone. I rebooted my network and internet connection. Nest cam back briefly then did the whole setup process again and it came back again briefly. Now it goes offline around 6 plus times a day and cannot be trusted as a security device. Google seems to think the customer is the issue or their setup but I am also using the latest version of Nest wifi. And it has been working fine for weeks and no other device in my house is having this issue.

temp fix? but after doing this it has been working fine for months so far and it just happened the one time anyways. from what I can read in your comment you did not fully watch this video or follow the directions. I highly recommend watching the entire video and follow my instructions to get your nest working again

@@TechandDesign I have followed the instructions and even did this prior to this video. I am every much still having the issue. I have turned off the home and away routine for my phone which seems to have slowed it. But I have noticed that it only goes offline when my phone is home. Google is having a look at this but I am not holding my breath. I have also bought the upgraded Nest wifi which is when this issue started to occur.

Does doing this kill all of your zone settings and previous footage? My Google Nest Outdoor Battery is doing this BS right now where the Home app says it can't show live video but the camera physically shows the green light saying it's connected and so does the router. It's battery powered so how do I reboot it without resetting it? Rebooting router and access points didn't help.

I have the newest Nest/Google doorbell cam. I also have a Google Max Hub (10 in. monitor thingy) at my desk, at home, on my home wifi network which is VERY solid with a strong signal throughout. I like to monitor the doorbell cam for deliveries, etc. during the work day so I do this though the Max Hub monitor. That's why I bought it. Every hour (or less) the Max Hub screen will go white (no more doorbell video signal) with an error stating that the "Front door Camera is offline". However, I can still see the camera if I log into it from my android phone so I know that the camera is not actually offline. It's just offline where the Hub Max is concerned. Both devices are on the same wifi network and each device should be connected with a strong wifi signal. If I unplug and repower the Max Hub my doorbell cam will come back on the Max Hub immediately. After doing this nearly a dozen times each day for a year it gets old. I am good with networking setups in general but have run out of ideas to fix this.

For those who are having connection issues...try to get a wifi extender (links to main wifi) and put in the same room as the camera. This video is very basic...this video will be the exact same as if you bought the camera out of the box and added to Nest app. It does NOT address the issue of if your camera cannot connect to wifi due to troubleshooting. In that case, if the camera stops blinking while trying to connect to the wifi, that is another issue. The camera may need to be replaced. I wish it could be reset or something but I do not think the round indention next to the usb connection is a reset button. I will update if I find a solution.

I have the top-notch Linksys router and 3 of their latest Velop Nodes. All of my wireless components work beautifully... with the exception of this Google Max Hub which loses the camera feed every 15-20 minutes all day long. If I unplug the Hub and then plug it right back in it will work for that same 15-20 minutes then yet again tells me "Camera feed is not available". Maddening!

Thanks for the info. I am very very very disappointed with google nest camera, every time the power goes out, i need to resync the freaking camera! However my Yale lock goes back to order automatically...

I have same problem. Power goes out and all my Nest cameras go offline until I manaully unplug and plug them back into AC power. This has to be a HW/SW bug in my opinion and not be design.

this fix didn't help. I've only had it for three days. Tried unplugging, restarted the router/wifi, and removed/added the camera into Nest app. Nothing. It's getting warm outside, could heat be a factor?

@@TechandDesign I first removed the outdoor camera from Nest app by going into the Nest app, tapped on the cog on top right of app, scrolled down to the camera, tapped it, scrolled down and tapped "remove camera". Then went back, tapped "add product" scanned the camera's QR code, and went through steps to get camera to run again. It worked for about 2min and then same thing happened again. So, I am left with either the camera is to far away from wifi source (even though I'd assume I'd get a notice that camera isn't getting enough wifi signal if that were the case), it's getting to hot ( I read that it can only function properly under 104 degrees, which seems strange since most of the United States gets pretty close to that or higher during summer months), or it is defective.

well I would factory reset it and if it keeps happening - than move it really close to your rooter and if it goes offline even when you are 1 meter from the rooter than exchange it

Yesterday my camera light went orange. I checked my app to see if it was working and it was. I've been having issues with my neighbor(s) (which includes corrupt law enforcement just one block over from me) hacking my devices, so I am suspecting this was a possible hack or mitm attack. Around the same moment, my phone dropped it's signal to my router. My router was was working fine, with all green lights. Then about about a month ago, I had to report an MITM attack to my distributor, because when doing a speed test, my IP came back under a different company name, from a different province. Still no word back from my provider, on who was behind the attack, even though I gave hard evidence to the IP address going back to my regular IP address, after rebooting my router. Sounds like whatever illegal activity you have been partaking in at home has u under federal investigation from what it sounds like. Completely legal for them to do and they will get away with it. They wont be allowed to use any of what they find out in a case against u but they can use it for their own confirmation regarding suspicions they have and then get the probable cause they would now need in order to get a judge to sign a warrant. Long story short... Whatever it is you're doing I would shut it down now. Good luck.

For some reason I try and connect pick the Wi-Fi and enter password and it comes back C104 which is wrong password but it’s the correct password just don’t recognize I wonder if my router is trying to put it on 5g instead of 2g

Nest is garbage. Good luck getting the camera on the hub max to work. You setup a hub max join wireless. Then to setup the camera it needs to be setup with an assistant device to get Wi-Fi settings? WTF are googles programmers smoking. Nest integration to Google home is an absolute disaster…still in 2023

Agreed…I’ve had many problems with them in the last year. Home app is horrible and I’m not able to re connect my indoor camera. I have reset my router, which is in my living room which isn’t far from my bedroom where I have great wifi signal. Such a shame their products are just subpar.
