Watching this nest at Iroquois being built is fascinating! Who knew marsh morter was such a necessity to keep the nest together? I have never seen a new nest actually being built so feel so lucky! Glad they have a great stick store nearby! Love watching the stick disputes, they are so funny!! As always Wings, thank you!!

Of course I'm not happy that their nest fell, but yes - what a fantastic opportunity we viewers have to watch this amazing process. Very thankful for this new cam!!

Thank you very much for all these updates😃 In Iroquois NWR they work hard to have have a solid and comfortable nest. However, I worry about Jackie and Shadow, no stuff in their nest (grass and moss), no isolation for the security of the future eggs .... I keep my fingers crossed for them .... can they make it cosier 🤞🍀🍀

The lack of fluff has always been a topic of concern and curiosity at the Big Bear nest. Definitely an oddity because they do have plenty of nest material to choose from there.

Love Jackie and Shadow! But It seems like the nest bowl needs more work, Clear some of the sticks in and get alot of fluff. Makes me wonder if that has alot to do with the eggs not hatching?

Yes, I agree with you 🤗 more fluff and not more stuff as I wrote above. My mother tongue is French and sometimes I don't use the right words😉

@Agnes-hm7iv Its all Good! I'm not knocking them they are my Favorite Pair. But compared to other nests they don't seem to work on the nest bowl much. I'm Praying for a Better Season for them this year!

@@lindaadelwerth8042 I love this nest too and last year I felt so sad for Jackie and Shadow; covered in snow with negative temperatures, they protected their eggs for weeks .... but heat above and frost at the base, so heartbreaking💔 I am sending them full positive vibes 🍀🍀 and my best regards to you 🤗
