my brother and i use to do all kind of stuff with this game, of all of hundreds tapes we collected, this is the game we play countlessly, change dozens controller, machine through it.. its the best of the best. we play duet together with: single hp; with only lv1 sword, lv1 kusarigama or either both; with only bombs, only shurikens lv1 or lv2,lv3 (avoid all enemy to saved much of it for bosses and garuda, you guys should try it - its madness when you released all of it at once.. especially shurikens lv3 and bombs - really madness - i remembered the number of shuriken when crazy when we saved it beyond 99, the game become lagging, malfunction and stop when we both released it. lol); with only one person attack the other just follow; ...etc .. really weird madness way we try to beat over and over with the game, found many many stuff, hidden, glitch,... now, its all just gone to memories with him, hope up there he still can play it and.. still waiting for the right one on the secondary controller...

Its pretty similar to: Final Mission (JP), S.C.A.T (US), Action in New York (EUR) And also... Tokkyuu Shirei Solbrain (JP) or Super Rescue Solbrain ----> based on the original tv series from Toei and TV Asahi. Shatterhand (US) -----> not sure where it was taken from 😂. Also... Contra (US and in other countries). Probotector(EUR) -----> contra means "Rebel" and so due to an objection from the European Union, Konami had to change the name of the game and also changed the character from human aesthetics to robots.

Ever since I started playing this game on Switch's NES online I've been in love, especially with the ost. Stage 3 has been my favorite track and level so far, and I've managed to get to stage 4 as of now. Very tough with only 5 lives, which super limiting even for NES, but the game is so fun to play and get better at it's been worth it playing all the way from the beginning each time.

But hayate in reborn does not look similar to its NES/Famicom Counterpart. Developers should have given him the same old appealing outfit and also he looks fat and clumsy in reborn (in NES version he looks lean in aesthetics). And of course he looks short as compared to the NES version.
