Nested Collection lists in Webflow - full CMS tutorial

In this lesson, we’ll look at two Collections in Webflow: a list of Taco Bell locations and a list of features each location has. Then we’ll connect both Collections using a multi-reference field, build out our design using a Collection list, and then we’ll nest a Collection list inside another Collection list.

Great feature, sadly there is a limit of nesting only 1 multi reference field in a collection. Hope WF can scale this feature a bit more to include multiple nested collection lists.

Hi Webflow! I'm trying to create a book review blog and I'd like to have a CMS page for my "Best Of October" book lists for example, formatted a specific way. How would I go about creating this? I would like to put a picture of the book, a little blurb to the right of the image, and then potentially some affiliate links for where to buy. The idea is I'd publish one per month. Not sure what function to research in web flow to enable me to design this! Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

How to convert a parent collection to a cms page link while it contains a child cms? Please help me experts I’m struggling so hard to create a blog post ( parent CMS ) with tags as a ( child CMS ) while I converting the parent to cms page it show an error message of element cannot be nested inside

What if my "Features" sublist has more than 5 featured items, huh Mr. Webflow man? What then? 😉 Seriously though, what if I need to display 6 items in a CMS nested list? I only get 5, and I can't even apply a sort or filter to control which 5 items will appear. Nested CMS lists is an incredibly useful feature, and I love it. But the item limit seems a bit arbitrary, can you shed some light on this?

I don't get it, why aren't the location features just additional fields on the first collection? Like Open Late or have a KFC? Why create a separate Item?

@@magic_miles I did actually, I'm working with a clinic that has locations on different cities, If I create a separate collection for the cities I can set it so every doctor on Aldine (a separate "Locations" collection that I cross reference) has a light blue background, or light blue border on the cards, and every doctor in Pasadena Light green, and so on. it helps me set individual attributes to every item on the subcollection.

Now just please drop this annoying limitation of one nested collection per page. Or give us filter buttons. Trying to show different items of a collection split into two categories on one page and have them show a multi reference nested element and its not possible. Need to clone all Multi reference fields into text fields.

This is not working. You can create only one nested collection on a page. That's why CMS collections is very bad and useless instrument on Webflow. For good website you should use real CMS, but not a webflow. For landing - you ca use Webflow, for low budgets.
