I agree completely. You explained it like you would to a child, and actually slowed your speech down to do it. If the rest of tutorials were like this I'd have a better handle on JS.

Thank you so much, no prof explained this properly so nested loops just looked like magic to me. I couldn't consepsualise how they actually did the actions and then reset, and the order that things were executed confused me.

you could use the variables from each of the loops to grab indexes of a list or use one loop as a marker for some operation another must perform. in general the best use of loops are to contain them in a function instead of nesting. nested loops with no abstractions become confusing when designing software
