@wavygirljessie .... I have a few questions to ask you. ... How often do you wash your hair?... Is it necessary to use all those products on your hair? (I would feel like I need to wash my hair again if I put all those products on my hair. It's like product overload!) ... Do you ever you a wide tooth comb, or an afro comb, to comb your hair? ... I don't feel 'right' if my hair is not combed. I just use shampoo on my scalp and conditioner on my mid lengths down to the ends, both of which I wash out (obviously). I lightly dry my hair with a microfibre towel and then let it air dry for a couple of hours. While it is still damp, I just put some leave in conditioner on the mid lengths down to the ends. Give my a hair a scrunch and just let it air dry. It can take 3 or 4 hours altogether as my hair is so thick, but I comb and scrunch in between. When it is finally dry, I give it a final comb and then just spray lightly with water to revive the waves. and comb through. Every time I comb by hair, I always give it a quick spray of water afterwards and comb through. I can't just use my fingers as my hair doesn't feel 'groomed'. I hope you understand my routine. My hair is about a couple of inches below my shoulders and so I am not dealing with as much as you. Also my hair is naturally wavy and so I suppose I don't need to scrunch. I don't know! However, I always seem to be squirting it with water to bring back my waves. Is their anything you can suggest that might hold my waves when I comb my hair. I do use a very wide comb. Thanks!

Hi Sue, I usually wash once or twice a week depending on how busy I am although preferably in my case I should be washing it twice a week. It isn't necessary to use all those products, everyone should do what best suits their hair 😊 I don't tend to use combs, I prefer flexible brushes for my hair and all the tangles I have to deal with haha With wavy hair because the curl pattern is so loose, everytime you brush it out you're going to lose definition and will need to reactivate the wave pattern with water. I would suggest trying a foam, mousse or gel to help your definition to last and I wouldn't brush it between washdays but instead try to protect it as much as you can overnight. Hope this helps!

@@wavygirljessie ... Thank you for your reply. I will try your suggestion of foam or mousse, but I am sure I will still need to squirt with water calm my hair down. You should see it on a windy day! I've scared a lot of children in the past! 😂😂😂

Is there a name for how you brushed your hair? Like how you brushed up at the roots?
