He has refused nearly every offer for prisoner swaps (the last ceasefire agreement was in 2023) from Hamas ever since October 7th, and Israeli soldiers have been following the "Hannibal Directive". Which means you kill your own citizens to prevent capture. They bombed vehicles with hostages on Oct. 7, they had a tank shell a house full of known hostages, and they've opened fire on a group of hostages who were waving white flags. If the Israelis actually cared, they wouldn't be going down the route of asset denial, and they most certainly wouldn't have left their people in the hands of terrorists for over a year and a half now. Even if Netanyahu does care and hates all of this, it's his job to reign in his military.

There is no such country called 'palestine' and there never has been a country called 'palestine' in the entire history of the Middle East. The people living in the Gaza strip are Egyptian Arabs. The Arabs in the Gaza strip have had total control over the strip sine 2005. The Israeli government and all Jewish Israelis withdrew from the Gaza strip in 2005. Hamas has been in total control of the strip since 2007 and are the government of the strip. The Gaza strip has a 9mile border with Egypt (the Philadelphi Corridor) and Israel has had absolutely NO presence on that border since 2005. As you can see, Hamas has been able to bring weapons and ammunition across the Egyptian Gazan border since 2005. The Hamas government has spent all the money that is thrown at it from countries all around the world and from the UN and spent it on weapons, ammunition, missile making equipment, terror tunnel construction and training camps for Hamas instead of spending the money on the children and women in the Gaza strip (building new hospitals, schools, housing, education, industry, etc). So, who are the 'oppressors' you are talking about?

I have 2 questions. 1. What percentage of Palestinians killed were Hamas or armed militants? The Health Authority (run by Hamas) conveniently does not distinguish between civilians and fighters when releasing the death toll, so a myopic media assumes they are all innocent Palestinian civilians and calls it genocide. I know the death toll of civilians has been too high but I'm reluctant to call it genocide without knowing the percentage Hamas or armed militants killed. 0%? 5%? 10%? 15%? 20%? I assume those calling it genocide must somehow know the percentage so please let me (and other readers) know what it is and how you got the information. 2. What is to prevent Hamas from building up more arsenal and starting another campaign against Israel as is their mandate? Yes, Hezbollah is weakened but not dead. The Supreme Leader in Iran is still kicking and will continue to supply arms and ideology to its neighbours including Hezbollah, Hamas and the Houthis. I cannot see how this ceasefire will be permanent. Am I missing something?
