@dontcaresoft4 жыл бұрын
To clear up scale confusion this buggy is basically a 10th scale 4wd sct. Sct chassis share the same size as an 8th scale buggy but the difference is the size of the components. 8th scale buggies are just built to be a lot more durable because the jumps they take are huge compared to the size of the buggy. Heavy-duty components means more weight means more power means it will rip up a 10th scale track easily. Whereas 10th scale scts and this buggy are really just longer 4wd buggies and are way lighter. If your track is fine with SCTs they really shouldn't care about this one as long as they know what it is
@netcruzer4 жыл бұрын
Correct. It’s based on a 10th scale SCT but in desert buggy style it’s more like a super light 1/8 eBuggy, but that caged body is actually pretty heavy. The TT Pro won’t get any grief and is allowed to race here as it’s a true SCT.

@kingwillie2063 жыл бұрын
The reason for the limitations is not only the destruction of the track, but actual 10th scale buggies. The short course platform is actually an 8th scale disguised as a 10th scale for all intents and purposes, especially when it comes to contact. Still, the skill of the driver and the number of people on the track should always be the determining factor.
@kingwillie2062 жыл бұрын
@Vape N Clash - They aren’t even close. 1/10 buggies are 2-3lbs and SCTs are double that.

Great video. Just found your channel. I'm still new to rc mostly crawlers but wanting something with some speed. Would you suggest this or camox4 or even the losi rock rey.? Would mostly be offroad. Thank in advance.
@netcruzer4 жыл бұрын
This DB Pro or TT Pro has more speed and better handling than the others you mentioned. They are basically race trucks with some RTR electronics included. The CamoX4 is fun and good value, but that solid locked rear axle makes it better for crawling over/thru things but hurts the handling (it’ll roll over on you a lot)

The Rock Rey
@twoloud20074 жыл бұрын
@@evilet1111 could you elaborate?
@SebastianLong4 жыл бұрын
As a person who owns a DB Pro with a brother I bought the Losi Rock Rey for. I would go with the Rock Rey. More durable, not as fast as the DB Pro though. Extra ground clearance, bigger softer tires for hard landings and tumbles. Just better built in my opinion. Why I didn't get the Rock Rey for myself, I already have a 1/6 scale version, I also have another RC with a similar suspension design. When I bought the Rock Rey for my brother, I wasn't looking for a 1/10 scale RC. I only bought the DB Pro because I needed something for intermediate terrain like grass, dirt field and sometimes road. I've got plenty of off road only RCs and I wasn't yet looking for a strictly on road RC. The DB was the perfect niche for those things. I've now owned it for a number of months and only have ran it 4 times, broke twice (but driver error as am used to 1/8 scale or larger). My brothers Rock Rey is a little harder to work on, but it's yet to have it's first break. He's had it for close to a year now, maybe one or two months shy. The DB Pro is good for track and fairly flat surface, but the Rock Rey will kill it when things get a little rough.

Are they really that strict? It’s 1/10! I asked my local track if this buggy was okay. The box says 1/10. It appears that there is no universal standard. I don’t think I would want one either. People who buy this should drive it outside though. It needs a good size track to rip it a bit more. All that turning on the track featured here looks a lot like the Japan RC tracks here.
