it's possible to do without binary blobs in the kernel, not an absolute requirement, therefore avoid like the plague. binary blobs absolutely should NOT be included in an open source kernel. that is opening the door to all kinds of problems. NO BINARY BLOBS. as much as I want things in the kernel, I cannot agree with it. yes, allowing more features into the kernel and more support for switch hardware, very great. but start allowing proprietary code into the kernel, that is a dark path with no good end. more and more and more will come. then it's no longer an open source kernel. then where does that leave us, with proprietary switch software like we had before.
