Also, there is no indication that Alucard thought it was a poor choice of magic nor that "Death" sounded stupid. It seems like Alucard was talking like using "Death" was a stereotypical thing, which is fucking weird, because it's the middle ages -- once again, it's a stretch. To me, the joke is an example of the awkward exchanges between Trevor and Alucard in general (although not all were awkward), like the writers took dialogue from two weird, unlikable people in the real world and implanted it into the characters.... I'm trying to understand this. May I ask if you're below the age of 25?

Nah, it's pretty alright. Yeah, one may say that the show's supposed to be serious and so comedy doesn't fit here, however this feels more like cinematic humor rather than the cartoon humor you usually see in animation. The characters never act over the top or make funny faces, they just tease each other and have some banters, like how you would see a drama or action movie/tv show handle it's humor.

As snarky and as awesome as Alucard can be, I also feel really sorry for him. He had a pretty decent dad; despite being an undead sorcerer, Dracula actually cared about his family. So much so that betrayal at the hands of humanity, resulting in his wife's death, killed him inside and prompted him to take as many people down with him as he could. What I find most distressing about Alucard is that it's not like his father was abusive, but what may be equally tragic, if not worse, is seeing someone you loved change into someone you had to oppose. Seeing this devil may cry in the end makes me just wanna give him a big hug and let cry into my shoulder.
