I just finished it, all 6 episodes. I don’t feel I learnt anything new, it’s just a history lesson I guess. But if you grew up with it, read the dirtsheets, watched all the dark side of the ring seasons, and all the old Vince interviews, there’s nothing new.
@willianjacobs38023 сағат бұрын
Why would there be? This is more for people outside of the wrestling community. If there is anything really bad or dark, then it won't be till he isn't here anymore till we know.

Crazy how people got excited over a documentary on Vince. And fail to understand he participated in it and the documentary itself wasn't telling anything new. As I said before, I've heard so much about Vince over the years. I don't care for the documentary
@stevechamberlain8286Сағат бұрын
Watched all 6 episodes. I found it fascinating to watch despite knowing most of the information revealed and understand this is for the lay-person out there. I think the original documentary would have left the viewers still believing that Vince was a dodgy person in real life - the allegations just reinforce what you would have been feeling throughout. I'd be interested in seeing what someone who didn't watch during the Attitude and Ruthless Aggression eras feels about the stories they highlight - at two points the audience acted horribly to the victim in the story (Steph being drugged and raped, and Trish being forced to strip). It could be argued that the audience response to these encouraged Vince to continue doing these sort of stories, or engaging in real life. It's often said that Wrestling is a soap opera, but we don't cheer when someone is assaulted in Eastenders. Food for thought

I thought it was pretty mild. Pro Wrestling seems to be unique in the sense that people seem unable to separate the character being played onscreen to the human being offscreen. Vince is the epitome of an evil genius. All is fair in love in war. He was absolutely ruthless. McMahons legacy hinges on the outcome of the Grant sexual abuse trial. This docu series doesn’t really change that.
@Domononizuka81322 минут бұрын
Michael Sidgwick talking about people coming off horribly is the irony I was looking for in this video.

5:48 I'm sorry, I get where your feelings are on this, but making a documentary about a case that hasn't even seen the inside of a court yet, without the perspective of the plaintiff, sounds like one of the most horrifically irresponsible things a media organisation could possibly do.
@criminalmindsgirl29362 сағат бұрын
They do it all the time. Which is why people shouldn't watch a documentary on a person if they have an ongoing case. Sad how everyone is quick to make a documentary without knowing all the facts
@dyl650Сағат бұрын
Apart from the Rita Chatterton case there wasn't much that was covered that I wasn't aware of (the statute of limitations comment spoke volumes IMO), was expecting more on the Snuka story though, felt very glossed over. The thing that angered me most in the doc was Austin saying he's not a CTE guy and doesn't believe in it. Unbelievably ignorant comment.
@meciocio42 минут бұрын
Yea the statute of limitations line was the only time when my jaw dropped. Like an innocent person wouldn't talk like that when being accused of something.
@michaellaw28292 сағат бұрын
It was produced by Bill Simmons who has made several things in conjunction with WWE and having David Shoemaker and Meltzer on there does nothing for the overall credibility of the doc
