As a lifelong wrestling fan. The company has been on fire since Vince left, it’s been brilliant and Punk has been a highlight of Raw and Gunther has been the best in ring worker in the company. That being said….the show as incredibly disappointing. It was very safe and predictable. I also don’t think it was a good way to say “this is what WWE is all about” because the previous months worth of Raw were much more good flowing and structured and showed the current roster better. Hulk Hogan being booed was brilliant and deserved. Rock forgot he was a heel. If you want tk get into WWE, watch next weeks show. It’ll give you a better look at what the company actually is weekly and they building to the Rumble and WrestleMaina so it’s the most exciting time to start

@@rustiouk760 Read the comment by @IsaiasMGPalafox below. This was WWEs chance to hook new fans and that comment sums up all my non-wrestling/casual friends reaction. It was a nothing show. Whats the relationship between Taker and Rhea? The crowd made the lame Hogan beer promotion segment interesting by booing him. Instead of bringing legends for pointless segments, incorporate them in storyline. Have Ric Flair in a segment with John Cena about the 17th World title. Have Goldberg and Bron Breakker stand face to face. A segment where Rey Mysterio talks Pentas debut and how hes different to any previous luchadors in WWE

What you've also got to remember with the international audience, is that not as many of them will be watching live because of the time difference. I'm a UK fan, and for me it either starts at midnight, or 1am, for a lot of timezones across Europe it's even later. On a Monday night. Most of us have work the next day, and that's a long time to be awake, and not a lot of time to have to sleep. I'll occasionally stay up to watch it live if I don't have work the next day, or if for some reason I couldn't sleep, but mostly I'd catch up the following evening. Also, in the UK you needed to have Sky Sports to watch (or I think TNT Sports most recently?), which means spending £50-£60 a month. A lot of people (especially in the key age demographic) can't afford that, so most stream it illegally online. But most of them probably have Netflix already, which is only £11.99 a month even at one of the higher rates. Their catch-up figures will be much larger.

With business it's never an accident. Dupont sold what they knew was poison to the whole world for generations and never saw justice for it. Every living thing on earth is saturated in microplastics. All water sources are compromised-- and privatised. It's never an accident. Our owners are incentivized to do bad things because 'generate capital growth at any cost' is not the recipe for a world designed around our better natures. It's a world that runs on evil and bleeds itself dry at an astonishing speed. So yeah them taking off content that was making less than 100x what it cost to host on servers and either selling it to you piecemeal again or sitting on half a century of history forever rather than release to the public (what incentive? Value that isnt monetary? Ha!) is probably not a coincidence. Streaming services erase shows and movies FOREVER just to get tiny tax breaks. And again, these people killed the world. There is no limit and you should always assume the worst because it's almost always the case.

We'll see if this big bump is sustainable though. When WWE Friday Night SmackDown made its debut on Fox network television that show drew 4 million viewers which are numbers the WWE hasn't seen in ages! They never got there again for the rest of their run on Fox yet still averaged around 2 million. Wrestling is a entertainment's side show & the curiosity factor when they debut always seems to draw people in at first. If you look at SmackDown you had 2 million people watch that debut episode & basically say, "this is dumb, I'm out"! We'll see if there's a drop-off next Monday or if the audience even grows. If there is a drop-off I don't see it being huge, infact you may get a new audience of people tuning in because they heard of Hulk Hogan being booed mercilessly by the live WWE crowd & will want to see if anything crazy like that happens again. We'll see

As a 90s kid, I was a hardcore WWE fan growing up, but eventually that phase went away. However, I watch the highlights whenever they end up on my feed, watch some PPVs with friends sometimes, & go see it live every now & then when they're in my city. The wrestlers nowadays just aren't as interesting, & performance wise, they aren't that good imo. Watching it now, you catch them messing up a lot, & you're like "Ahhh, that didn't look smooth at all." Cody Rhodes is such a boring champion. The women are a lot more technical than they were back then, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are good, they're very hard to watch imo. Idk how to explain it, but it's like they're too careful or just aren't capable enough to do the moves they're doing. I went to Smackdown a few months ago, & they made the main event a women's match. Probably the worst main event I've ever seen. Lol

They just need to stop with these bizarre self-congratulatory ceremonies that have nothing to do with the thing they're selling. It's like the CEO coming out to the front of walmart and stopping traffic to announce how much money they're giving him and thank the board of executives for signing his checks. Embarrassingly gratuitous and totally irrelevant. And increasingly bizarre to shove in the face of an increasingly poor and restless populace.

@@XavIsOnline They messed that show up if that was aimed at lapsed/non wrestling fans. They were bored af with that corporate mess of a show. Pointless legend appearances. Should have had a Ric Flair John Cena segment about 17th world title. Goldberg Bron Breakker face off. A segment where Rey Mysterio talks Pentas debut and how hes different to any previous luchadors in WWE

I used to be a huge WWE fan in the early 2000s, and their quality went on a very steady decline starting when they went PG. I'm glad some fans think it's at an all-time high, but they permanently lost my viewership after they decided to enter into a business relationship with Saudi Arabia.

Don't know why that guy would side with apathy towards atrocity so proudly (pretty embarrasing) but I will say the world runs on blood and it's also ending and we, the workers herded to and fro on a global strip mine owned by a handful of billionaires, are completely helpless both individually and collectively to affect either fact at this point, so you may as well just enjoy the show. On your slave-made tv, in your slave-made clothes, sipping drinks by corporations that have commited genocides, while you cozy up with loved ones in these increasingly unseasonable winters. Saving the world was our grandparents job, and they failed. Try not to think about it.
