That was actually the coolest, most elaborate, werewolf transformation scene I've ever seen (no pun intended)

I watched this scene with my hands over my mouth, kind of chanting, "omg omg omg" because it was so horrifying, but you felt you had to watch it through to the end. The actors did such an amazing job, the sfx was really well done. It's so hard to do a werewolf transformation without it looking either cheesy or just haphazard.

Eli Roth and the writers spent the first season and the second building up Roman and Peter's relationship, going through the entire dynamics of their relationship. I think by the end of the third season, they did something that wasn't entirely true to Roman and Peter. It just didn't seem believable that Roman and Peter would become enemies. They could've at least spent an entire seven seasons building the characters. But because there were only three seasons, the writers managed to force the characters into situations that are against their very own personalities. It just doesn't seem believable. Another thing is that there was so much mythology to explore. It seemed to me that when Brian McGreevy wrote the novel, he preparing to set us up for an exploration into a vast mythology, even though he didn't write subsequent novels after. Netflix should've given Hemlock Grove four more seasons to help shed light on this vast mythology. Sadly, Netflix screwed up and Hemlock Grove didn't receive a proper conclusion, because Hemlock Grove wasn't ready to be cancelled.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure Brian McGreevy didn't have too much to do with the plot anymore after the first season (and maybe part of the second). Felt like they finished the show using some leftover crime/noir plots from Banshee or something. That's fine, but they abandoned the characters in the process..

I actually disagree with this. I liked the ending personally. I felt like the only problem with the ending was they killed way too many characters. The pacing was all over the place, but Peter's decision to kill his friend seemed very in line with his personality, after finding out the truth about his cousin. The whole third season was the exploration of Roman's very dark and depressing character. He's literally the most troubled character, saddest situation, but he became the monster he had been fighting internally all along. Unfortunately for him, the monster inside made him do something he couldn't undo.

Kieva Storm the story structure was flawed. I agree that Roman's character was consistent, but what about all the other characters. Their story arcs weren't resolved properly. Peter became a vargulf out of revenge?! It doesn't make sense that Roman becoming a monster could lead Peter down a dark path. Yes, Destiny died, but why turn into a vargulf for revenge. What about Peter's mother? He still had a lot to live for. Why risk changing into A vargulf when he knew he couldn't change back?

I just wish we had more shots of that wolf transformation, such as when the whole wolf head was complete, the legs forming, a tail popping out with fur forming on it, and a closer angle of Peter’s wolf shaking the human skin and blood off.

It makes sense. There was that underlying tension all along. Does Roman believe the rumors? Does he not? Is he trustworthy or not? It's beautiful they jump to "Can I watch", as if to confirm an understanding and connection only the two of them share.

I love this show so much but the only thing that bothers me a lot is the gypsies. It's likethe creators have never seen a gypsy. I live in a country where their minority plays a huge role.
