@@Luflandebrigade31 I think it was definitely a masterpiece. And I've always loved sci-fi, animated and cinematic alike. There are many different genres of anime, so of course not everyone will like it, but I think many Japanese anime fans will like it. cuz otaku love cute girls like Rebecca using big weapons lol. I heard that CDPR initially protested against the cute girl because she didn't fit the worldview, but TRIGGER did a great job protecting her.

The majority of work in every medium, from books to video games, will obviously be made with mass appeal in mind, but there'll always be niche "higher concept" alternatives.

9/10 anime. Only problem was it wasn't longer, but then again, that might also be its strength. A lot of emotion over a short period of time gives the "life is fleeting" sort of vibes.

I think 2 or maybe 3 seasons would be more than enough to tell their story, but at the same time by having it this short and concise, it allows the show to focus on each episode following the overall plot making them feel actually connected instead of being divided with fillers.

In the game Regina tells us about a possibility to save the cyberpsychos. Would love to see more about this specially if they tell the story of the girl from the 2013 teaser trailer, who went psycho and then got somewhat 'reformed' into MaxTac

Been several days since watching the finale, yet the heart-break and pain of loss is still fresh and I can't get over it. In other shows with sad circumstances I would have bawled my eyes out. Edgerunners instead left me with a numbing sadness that just stops the tears from falling and instead gives me that heavy yet empty feeling inside. Well done Trigger, with just 10 episodes you made one of the best game-anime adaptations to date.

When you see this you realise how hard it is to combine the writers and artists work together. A script seems much easier to create in a real life movie than an anime. And then they have to make it work together with the animation.

i love that he mentioned cdpr envisioned film noir like most cyberpunk films but trigger added some shonen plot points. Makes the all themes & ending hit harder because theres so much optimism & resolved endings in shonen anime but the real goal of the story is much darker & melancholy.

Ha sido una gozada ver este anime, no he jugado nunca al juego y por ello seguro he perdido montones de referencias y guiños pero aun con eso, lo he disfrutado al máximo, la ambientación, los personajes, la historia más dura y con ese final dramático, y como no ese estilo artístico y la animación que son 10/10, Trigger lo ha clavado, sin duda un anime de acción más adulta que todos deberían ver sin importar lo más mínimo si conoces o no el juego

Es bastante genial que al ser una adaptacion de un videojuego, se pueda disfrutar por separado, habla mucho de su calidad, ya que muchas adaptaciones de juegos requieren solo guiños y referencias para darle coherencia y entretenimiento a la historia. Aun asi! Deberias darle una probada al juego! Ver el anime me hizo disfrutarlo aun mas. (Y tambien puedes cobrar venganza :P)

I'd like the idea of a S2 taking place during the events of Cyberpunk 2077, where Lucy could potentially meet V (at least when he is starting out during that 6 month montage at the beginning of the game). Either that, or Jackie, his appearance in the anime would definitely make his presence in the game much stronger (and in turn for the anime as well since he's already a beloved character. A win-win)
