@Jason R if a miscarriage is caused by someone outside the parents the punishment is different from murder? Also, That's not an abortion! And people have been performing abortions for thousands of years across cultures so if it was forbidden it would have been addressed directly. Different Christian churches have different opinions on abortion and some changed their stance over time. The Catholic Saint Bridget ended someone's unwanted pregnancy without birth and without pain, it was a miracle. Sorry for rambling

Born 1980...his formula is basically that old SNL skit. Want to say Jack Handy?? Used to love those skits and look forward to em. Umm...DEEP THOUGHTS! You just turn shit on it's head. The thing that makes it is Jesselnick himself. His delivery isstaight, even toned, and almost deadpan and presented as thoughtful with emotion. But his punch like is straight, rational, dark and absurd but yet natural and honest. But I certainly believe he watched the same skits on SNL I did. It's just too close! I don’t think you’re right. I don’t think the video was slowed down by the uploader to avoid KZbin copyright police. The video was uploaded by Netflix who also released the special. That is simply his delivery. And, when you think about it, it makes sense. His jokes are very carefully worded. To the point where, if you miss a few words, you might miss the joke entirely. So, his delivery is slow and deliberate.

To me Anthony style of a large volume of jokes where he will make you laugh even though you know exactly where the joke is coming yet he still has fresh twist to surprise you is an incredibly high amount of difficulty. What he did here keeping his style while keeping an overall larger narrative is the natural progression for him and as difficult as it maybe I hope he finds a way to keep it up.

My wife had to have an abortion for a medically unviable baby. Most heartbreaking day of my life. Her best friend sent a succulent in support. Anthony thank you for your humor about the worst moment I’ve ever experienced. It’s healing to be able to laugh about something so painful.
@TTFerdinand
@TTFerdinand 5 ай бұрын
My wife's reasoning was:"We can't afford to bring up twins." I was with her at the ultrasound when we got the news. No medical condition. She immediately burst out crying, I hugged her and told her that we're gonna be okay, no matter what. I was opposed, but she went and had it done anyway. It was her final decision, but maybe I should've put my foot down more firmly. But I didn't know how. I had a weird dream, I think right after the abortion, with The Hollies singing "He's not heavy, he's my brother". I had heard it before, but didn't know the name of the song or the name of the band, I had to search it up using words like "heavy" and "brother". I still can rarely listen to it without tearing up. They'd be 17 this year. It will haunt me for the rest of my life. I should have done more to assure her that we're gonna be fine.

that's what i like about dark comedy - it helps to alleviate the hardships of life, make you think about a serious topic from another angle, that is neither incorrect or correct, it is strangely true no matter how off it may seem and it's both serious and funny. and it's always with a twist and even though you expect it, you never really see it coming.

@@samanthab1923 Thank you. Sometimes it takes something like that to show you what a person is really like. And I just remembered, there WAS one person who cared enough to help me, but I needed her to get my (3) kids off the bus and keep them for a couple hours so obviously she couldn't come along. It might be nice if planned Parenthood had a person on hand for women who have to come alone, you know, to sit with you awhile (it was an eight hour day, pre-smartphone) and maybe keep checking on you and chatting. I'd volunteer to do that actually.

Yes my ex-girlfriend called me up 2 years after we broke up.. said she pay for me to come to Colorado to take her to abortion clinic.. keep in mind this was 1990 in Colorado.. So 1990 Colorado had lots of protesters outside with news media and just crazy chaos.. I did not know this before I traveled.. So I took her and well had to go through all protester yelling at me I'm killing my baby.. nope some other guys baby.. Then media wanted to talk to us. I waited in waiting room rereading old parenting magazine.. yes true ... Then afterwards the girl was drugged up.. so I had to drive through protesters screaming, hitting car and yelling murderer, murderer murderer.. over and over.. I honestly not the killer, just the get away driver..

@@Tonyhouse1168 I always teach my children that if your ever in a relationship with someone and it ends.. don't be mean or live with hate for them... Most time can be distant friends, or at least polite to each other.. obviously there was a reason you where in a relationship.. I also teach my kids something most people should learn. I tell my boys especially, if you ask out a girl or make a move and she says no or not interested. Still be polite, still be you, she might not be interested in the moment or ever.. but don't change you just because of rejection..if anything she will regrets later as you stay true to bring the best you.. Goes with anything, rejection is just another opportunity for something better.. I own businesses and first thing to know about business is learn to fail . More you fail the more successful you become. Just like rejection.. more you understand and live with not getting something, the more you get later.. Learn love and love life but first fail, fall and get rejected as often as you can..
