I loved this series so much, i watched everything in one day! The message is also so so important. I don't want to spoil anything, but please just watch this, so more people become aware of the impact and subtile signals regarding to rape.

After watching this edge of the seat drama, i couldn’t help but think that Rupert Friend would absolutely nail the character of James Bond on every level. He is an actor of top drawer quality who would live the role to perfection.

I want to see Rupert Friend and Sienna Miller as a normal married couple in another show. They have good chemistry

I'm still recovering from that ending that came out of nowhere for me. I completely believed that James was innocent and then I realized that is the whole point of the show. So often we have an image in our minds of what a criminal looks like and when we see someone involved in that kind of situation that doesn't look the part we immediately believe them. Also the part of how men with power believe they can manipulate people to get what they want. That they are above the law. As a boy dad I am left thinking what I'm gonna teach my son about sex, ethics, and being a good person. Most important, I think is to teach him that he isn't entitled to anything, especially love and sex, and honestly why would you want to be entitled to that. I am going to teach him to be kind and respect others most of all. If you want a full life be a good person. So much to think about after this show.

Well done you. Your belief he was innocent is why the jury’s verdict was the correct one. I thought the series was great, but as a lawyer a couple of things irked me. One was James declaring he had been found innocent. He wasn’t- the jury found him not guilty because the Prosecution did not prove the case beyond reasonable doubt. Even if all members of the jury thought he probably did commit the assault, if they had any reasonable doubt and were not absolutely sure then they had to acquit. Our criminal justice system basically says it is better 10 guilty go free, than one innocent be convicted. I believe in that principle implicitly. However, it means that our criminal justice system is not adequately able to deal with the crime of sexual assault as it is often one person’s word against another. It is better by far to teach boys to respect girls and women, and what consent means.

Thank you for teaching them this, I’m doing the same with my own son. I’m a few years older than the main characters and I am so triggered. Consent was actually not a concept that existed. Just think of the old Bond movies where James Bond literally forced himself on women and was still seen as charming. That’s what men were told and the woman knew it was her fault if she found herself in that situation. So that Holly felt she was raped is actually unrealistic. She would have thought she shouldn‘t have talked to him and let it come to that. I only started to question some of my experiences after the me too movement. Even my husband has only started to accept a no in recent years. I hope my daughters will never experience what I did.

It’s important to understand that our justice system is based on the principle that it’s better that 10 guilty go free than on innocent person be convicted. That is why it is so hard to convict - the prosecution must prove the case beyond reasonable doubt. Not guilty does not mean innocent. When it is one person’s word against another, it is very hard to prove who is telling the truth. Even if the jury think it is more likely than not the sex was an assault, if they have reasonable doubt, the jury must say not guilty. That is why it is so important that all boys be brought up to respect girls and o understand what consent actually means.

She's too much of a doormat. She's not even angry about him humiliating her family like this. It's unbearable to watch

Holly Berry would not have felt she was raped. She would have been angry at herself for talking to him and bringing this on herself. The concept of consent did not exist. Just look at the old Bond movies.

Because in the context of the show the assaults are between a man and a woman. Stop making everything an issue.

It's just because that's how the assault was in the show and that's what they're there to talk about, jesus. Not everyone has to always talk about every single type of situation.

There is usually less of a physical strength difference between couples of the same sex than between most men and most women, that in itself make women more vulnerable. For thousands of years women have been sexually assaulted and we are only really making headway in certain countries. I understand your point, but that is another story that needs to be written.

I liked the show till the end when Sienna betrayed her husband...she was very supportive and understanding up until that point. Disappointing ending.

He betrayed her, and she was willing to support him while she thought he was innocent. Once she realised he had sexually assaulted Olivia and Holly, he was complicit in the death of a uni friend and he had helped cover up it up then I think she had to do something. I don’t blame him for disposing of the heroin, I do blame him for the rest. He was teaching his son the same lessons of entitlement and privilege, so while I understand why you would not like what she did, I think she had to tell the police about the death of Alec, and the role he and the PM played in that.
