Totally agree! Whoever changed this and add so much of Benedict made a huge mistake. Back in the day they used to have a pre showing of movies. If they had done this they would have known the fans would be disappointed that there just wasn’t enough of Colin and Pens story. Cressida we didn’t need her backstory either and jezzz the quiet Bridgerton sister’s story wasn’t necessary either. Whoever is supposedly next you could have given a glimpse of their future storyline. I missed the happy family scenes of the Bridgerton, which we only really saw from the engagement. The second half was very disappointing.

Would love this - their chemistry as friends is brilliant, I think they could be funny together in any romcom like Emma Stone and Ryan Reynolds are. I'd love to see them do some more comical type romcoms, as season 3 was more dramatic due to the Lady W reveal, and we know Nicola can do comedy, and so can Luke (as episode 3 showed).

Chemistry is obviously there, even though this was filmed before their tour I believe that their chemistry just continued to grow immensely! Best friends can be soulmates. I am also sad their time as leads on Bridgerton is over - Polin is my favourite couple, Romancing Mr Bridgerton is my favourite book of the series, and Luke and Nicola did a superb job as Colin and Penelope. I'll be supporting them in whatever projects they do next. Luke especially, in part 1, I loved all of his moments of realisation for his love and feelings for Penelope, especially in episode 3 after their kiss at the end of episode 2. His longing look towards the end of episode 3 was amazing (Luke's acting was outstanding) - i love how it undone Penelope too, as she recognised there was a shift in him. In part 2, I loved how Penelope was still like tell me what to do during their first time (as she wanted to be an active participant and not just lay there) her reconciliation journey with her mother, but also finding her voice. Nicola really is a special talent too (although my love for Luke is very true lol). I really hope we get to see more of Polin being cute and awkward and nerdy together, because those were my fave scenes of them: i.e. under the tree -their dialogue and sweet awkwardness, the joke where Colin says "galloped away". I also loved them dancing together, in the church and their wedding breakfast. I hope in future seasons we get to see them discuss their writing as a couple, especially as both Colin and Penelope are writers; it would be good to see them make more language type jokes (especially as Kanthony has a shared love of being competitive) Polin are super smart and wordsmiths. But, they both smashed it and were superb. The only sadness is that we didn't get to see Colin make his public declaration of love to his intelligent wife at the end...it's my fave moment in the book, and this would also highlight how he has a way with words too. I've heard there could be a deleted scene on this, and I really hope it's released.

The editors and even the showrunner, Jess, underestimated Nicola and Luke's star power. Clearly scenes were cut, and time replaced with all the other story lines. But in truth, they were the most anticipated couple, and the season should have reflected that. I think the real reason the season is in two parts is because it was re-edited (especially Ep7 and Ep8). Now the question is "why?" Nicola thought she had an alternate season (less steamy) written in her contract. Then she found out she didn't. Was this Shondaland's answer to her request? Or was the decision made to reduce the physical exposure of this particular female lead because of some assumed response or negative backlash. All of these decisions were made prior to Part 1's release. Over 40 million watched in the first weekend/4 days. That was incredible. Indeed, Nicola and Luke's star power was grossly underestimated.

Felt like the steamiest season to me. There was so much stylised, soft-core porny sex in the first season (some of it downright creepy) that it got boring very quickly. Season 2 didn't have much sex, full stop, and 3 had multiple sex scenes, several of which were based around total intimacy. That made them steamy.

@@fenniahtvxq People really expected Polin to go at it like Simon and Daphne, as if both couples expressed their love and attraction to one another in the same ways or had similar arcs. The fact that their two major intimacy scenes were so emotionally vulnerable and Colin’s journals (+bar talk with the other men) showing how Colin craved emotional connection while having sex. It wouldn’t have made sense for them to be intimate in any way when he was struggling to sort out his emotions and couldn’t be emotionally vulnerable with Penelope. In order to be completely emotionally open he’d have to admit he doesn’t always have to be the hero and solve his hero complex, was jealous of her work as LW, and had to reconcile that Pen and LW are one and the same. Which were promoted by his talk with Cressida to change her plans failing (punch to the hero complex) and her calling him out on his jealousy. Then in rereading Pen’s letters he saw how she’s always been LW, how her personality shines through in her writing where she is observant and witty and has always seen him for him. Which is why the edition of LW at the beginning of the season bothered him so much, that this person he didn’t like saw right through the bs persona he was trying to be and called him out on it. It took him a while to accept it was Pen all along. Yeah I would’ve love to see more Polin together cause they’re my fav and I love how their sex scenes aren’t just physically intimate, but much more emotionally intimate. That’s what makes them so intense and real and raw. Both the carriage and mirror scenes followed these major emotionally vulnerable moments about their feelings, so if they couldn’t have that with LW issues not hanging over their heads like before but standing in the way unable to be ignored then how would they have been able to be physically intimate. Way too many people don’t seem to get that or understand the characters, Colin in particular, at all.

I know Luke has mentioned he has ADHD. As someone who is autistic and adhd, I could definitely tell at the end of the interview. Him being fascinated with the clapboard reminded me so much of my self when my meds have worn off for the day. 😂😂 and considering this appears to be shot at night, if he takes meds I wouldn’t be surprised if that was the case. So much love for them as individuals, as actors, and their friendship. It’s evident how much they cherish one another and offer each other support and unconditional love.
