there was an article where the creators of the crown said they knew where the right place to stop would be. Plus each season goes through numerous of years. I thought it would go to her death but that would be having more seasons for william and kates wedding, them having kids, megan and harrys wedding. Megan and Harry eventully leaving royal family status. Them having kids. King charles becoming king. Queen elizabeths death. which would probally be 2 more seasons at least. and idk but they thought this would be enough since they said they didnt want to go too much into present day.

I think humans should just ditch concepts like dating, marriage, and pair bonding. I feel like this world would be a much better place without romance than it is with it. It does seem that nearly all fathers are hoping that their daughters never date or get married and remain single for the rest of their lives. Romantic relationships seem like a bad thing since there is a lot of dangers when it comes to them. The overprotective father thing is proof that romantic relationships are a bad thing, and this world would be a much better place without them. If someday that the human race ditches the concept of romance and romantic relationships, and got rid of stuff like dating and marriage, fathers would be happy about it since they wouldn't ever have to worry about their daughters ever dating if that ever happened.

obviously i know these characters are based on real people (and i was a kid when the royal wedding of william and kate happened and it was one of the most gorgeous things i've seen on tv!) but somehow their storyline and the way they're characterized makes it feel like it's something of it's own in a sense, sort of like those teen dramas from the early 2000's. wish we got more scenes, i loved the chemistry between ed and meg onscreen!

Only if you look at the british royal family, other countries have quite sweet love stories for their royals as well, queen beatrix of the Netherlands had to face opposition for falling and later marrying Claus von amberg, a German only 20 years after ww2, while king Karl Gustav of Sweden meet his wife Silvia at the Olympic Games in Munich 1972, likely one of the few good stories from that Olympics

Sorry Netflix, but you found the wrong royal to give you a true story. If Kate was not the amazing woman she is, she would not be in the British Royal Family. Her mother could have been interested in getting them together, but Kate had to win his hearth and also the hearth of the nation. She did. She also show lots of very important virtues to be a part of the family. Your American princess did not. I loved The Crown, but did not even wanted to watch the other shows, because I know they lied to get your money, the prove is they left England for privacy, and showed their kids to the whole world.

The library scene was utterly ridiculous. No. Being a celebrity (let alone a ROYAL) is NOT the same as 'being a girl'. Someone in line to the throne is not simply ogled and judged for their looks or regularly 'harassed' by people wanting a date with them. This very season had women sending William inappropriate and creepy letters, the MEDIA scrutinises every aspect of who he is for public consumption, invading his privacy, and the 'judgement' girls get is rooted in whether or not people want to date/have sex with them. In William's case, in any royal's case, it's all that AND a gigantic extra existential pressure of whether they are 'suitable' for the throne or not and how that will or won't have consequences for his family and the entire country. It was a disgusting to even IMPLY the situations are the same.

She is not a fame digger that it is so beautiful obvious everything she does is to have the cameras centre on her. She did not work for the people without a fame booster like Diana or Kate. Or even Camille who has so many charities helping women with vulnerabilities such as mental, sexual or emotional abuse. That are struggling with abusing relationships or are currently homeless.
