Netgear Nighthawk X4S Wireless Router - Quick Review

The X4S is one of the best routers out there. Well worth the few extra bucks.

I’ve had the R7000 (ac1900) for the past few years, solid router but I am currently upgrading to the X4S if that tells you anything.

My mind is pretty much settled to buy this router even though it's a few years old. If I can get it for £150 I think it's a solid router for the next few years until newer WiFi 6 routers come out and become cheaper

is the Netgear Nighthawk X4S still worth to buy? i read from a few reviews that due to a new firmware update it doesn't perform as it's supposed to anymore and that there are many connectivity problems involved. So i don't know if this is entirely true or not and would like to know if you have heard anything about this matter.

The X4S is a great router. Unfortunately, they're having some firmware update issues at the moment.

Thanks for the review, ive since bought the exact same router, and i like it, but i need ultimate speed, and im considering ordering the R9000 top of the range

keep in mind most wifi devices can't exceed 1300mbps and don't support "wireless ad" yet.
