Well, they did deserve it more than Spain. But Paraguay and others would have ''deserved'' it, too. The tournament was simply extremely distorted with so many wrong decisions in favour of Spain (to reward them for their Tiqui-Taca which without refereeing help often wouldn't have been effective in scoring more goals than their opponents). Before the implementation of the VAR World Cups were always extremely distorted shams. Now it's better, but still far from perfect. Morocco was scammed in its semi-final in 2022, for instance. And in the first round in 2018 where they could have achieved much more already.

Nonsense. It was basically Barcelona's Tiqui-Taca plus a ton of refereeing help. Since possession doesn't mean goals. Is it me or did Netherlands really look good wearing an orange shirt and black short. They played really well in this tournament, I'll never forget the match with Brazil which I thought they would loose, shame Robben missed that golden chance in the final I was rooting for them in the final. The way they played in 2010 actually made me support them in the 2014 World Cup.

I think they got very lucky. Against Brazil Netherlands were outclassed completely. They got a win by an own goal there and against Denmark. They had a blooper of the keeper from Japan. A DOUBLE deflection goal and a 1/100 goal van Bronckhorst goal against Uruguay, should have lost there too. Of all games they deserved to win the one they lost the most, the final. But tbf I found that entire World Cup to be very boring, nobody stood out or got me out of my seat.

He tore his hamstring… He was still recovering, Robben was the best man in the team

It was against Hungary. Robben tried to do a backheel and somehow injured his hamstrings. With a special physical therapist, he was rushed back into action for the world cup, but it was later revealed he played with a major tear that tournament. Imagine with a fully recovered Robben before the tournament, how things would have been.

Our side back then was something else.. Stekelenburg who had an amazing tournament and season at Ajax, routined captain like gio, pricks like van Bommel and de jong holding the midfield doing the dirty work, amazing ballers as Robben v persie Sneijder Vd vaart huntelaar, hard workers like Kuyt, and van marwijk as the perfect fit to lead the group with discipline and believe. 2010 had to be our year, sadly it didn’t happen again.. I will never heal from this one.

I'll say this about the Netherlands. They were a very good side in 2010, however i still feel that Brazil threw it away against them. They were dominating that game, missed a couple of chances until they just seemed to drop back and then decided to have a man stupidly sent off. The odds were then stacked against them vs Spain but Robben should have buried that chance. Had he scored, Holland would have probably just shut up shop and won it because as we know Spain struggled against low blocks.

Моё мнение может конечно не верное, но я так думал и сейчас думаю, что не надо было менять Кëйта , а дать ему доиграть до конца, хоть он и устал, всё равно он бы помог команде и не надо было выпускать на поле Ван Дер Ваарта, он на протяжении всего турнира косячил , и игра у него не шла, вот и результат, именно он и накосячил, хотя не виноват с кем не бывает. Удаление конечно тоже могло повлиять. В целом исход справедлив, Испания была сильнее в том матче. Всё таки, что испания, что Барса была сильна пока был Пуйоль.
