Iackcerpret: "So, how did humanity come to advance so far in organic technology?" Human: "you see, it all started with a... rather odd, thing called a "fleshlight", many, many years ago" Iackcerpret: "What exactly was that?" Human: ".. .. don't worry about it"

Realistic fleslights, then biosynthetic fleshlights, then cloned-parts fleshlight, then major discovery in medicine curing cancer and/or AIDS, then full-part fleshlight, then new life form, then this story's creatures are created.

There was a story I heard a year or two ago about humans helping out sentient space whale's with internal pests. This story could fit well into that universal space.

Mean it's possible, but that'd mean we've found other ways to fight, But yeah I don't imagine us really getting to that point, even the most peaceful period in history didn't have a day without conflict, Sadly seems the shadow of the world wars is starting to run out
@allster0crowly
@allster0crowly Жыл бұрын
@@Voron_Aggrav Who said their peaceful? to me the story seems like what would happen if humanity destroyed Earth but instead of becoming pirates, refugees, slaves, or planet hoppers, they became something far more insidious in the form of grove tenders or biological invaders with a smile and through their actions make multiple worlds their new Earths by terraforming them and then when they are done each new Grove becomes a necessity over generations becoming the norm, a way of conquering without conflict, although this is just my take on it.

@@ArchonSG1 While I am not a Tree hugger, I am a Marine Ecologist, specialising in cold water ecosystems. I can tell you that the organisms do not lie. To give an example, in the UK there are Barnacles that are Indicator species for water temperature. They are the two Cthamalus species, when I was an Undergrad many years ago we thought they were just one species, but DNA profiling has shown they are two. But for the purposes of this example they may as well be one (and they are very difficult to differentiate without DNA profiling anyway). Cthamalus is a warm water barnacle, the most common Barnacles in the Mediterranean, moving south down the African Coast. Then you have Semibalanus balanoides, this is a cold water animal, arctic down south. When I was an Undergraduate, many, many years ago the 50:50 zone of Cthamalus and Semibalanus was the extreme South of England, Devon and Cornwall. Now its well up into the Midlands. There is literally only ONE explanation for that as the animals respond to pretty much every environmental stress OTHER than temperature in a similar manner. The water is getting warmer. I know that for a fact as I was involved in the stress testing of the organisms involved. At the end of the day people like me just do the Science. How that Science is used is up to people like you and those you vote for. People like me can do no more than give you the information. What you and the politicians do with it is YOUR problem. Not mine. We have been warning people for decades. The warming of the oceans is a BIG deal, because it is NOT a thing that can be reversed easily, or quickly. It takes decades for the photic zone to warm up by 1 degree C on average, it takes longer for Hadal and Abyssal temperatures to rise. We are starting to see indications of the latter.... Water is a selfish thing, it likes to keep its heat. For its molecular weight it has a VERY high Specific Heat Capacity. We could sort out atmospheric temperature rise tomorrow, and it will take at LEAST a century to sort out Oceanic rise if indications of extreme depth temperature rise are actually accurate.... So no, I am not a tree hugger, I think tree huggers are missing the point. I think most of them are wrong, they think we as a species will go extinct. Humanity has the capacity and technology to survive. They are morons to think otherwise. The problem is what else survives? When I started in my field I could dive almost pristine reefs. Now there is not a pristine reef on the planet. The oceans I have spent 40 years studying, diving, and loving, are dying..... And that is NOT hyperbole. Will life end in the oceans with climate change? No. But it will not be as pleasant, it will not be as diverse, and it will take literal centuries to recover. Assuming we deal with it now. If we leave it to long, it will not take centuries, it will take eons. Recovery from a great die off is in the millions of years.... not the hundreds....

@@loganshaw4527 I think they are referring to how the worlds become a mixture of earth and their original worlds rather than just healing the original world (as the worlds sound too far gone for that), think of it like an organ transplant, just more. Or sort of like how if we bring long extinct animals back with the remains we have of their genomes , they'll really be hybrids of the extinct creatures and their closest living relative as we need to fill in the gaps in the DNA (please note that i don't really know if that's how it works and is a dramatic oversimplification of my very limited understanding on it)
