Loved the video i think its a master peice but where are you getting your stats? Is that only for the westaskiwin area? Severe thunderstorms caused 25 million in damages in southern Alberta so iam guessing the stats are local. Very dissapointing season in Edmonton too. Sure would love to chase with you!!! Hoping this tstorm year will be like 2012 was. Can't wait for the storms. Anyways. I digress. Keep up the good work. You are very talented.

Yea its for my area. Count is based on a 100kmsq area. generally a 5km radius. Edmonton is less than ~25 for the year as well as 0 Severe which is very rare. Getting stats for other areas is not terribly easy, Only one other got stats in Brooks, he recorded over 60 storms there.

Mike Rurak That doesn't surprise me. Their was many a night that i would watch southern Alberta storms rage on and all the while nothing in central Alberta. Thanks for posting bud!! I certainetly lost track of storms in Edmonton tooo. Iam gunna have to compile a years worth of weather data i compiled from my weather reports. So thank you for your hard work. :-)

Unfortunately the editor throws a fit when I try to do 1080p(it barely let me do this years vid). Because it just does not do 64bit. Time to throw in another $100 for the newest version because I'm also wanting to do 4K time-lapse this year(2015). Also not all my cameras(yes I have many) do the same frame rate at 1080p.

AVIDCRAFTBEAST FTW2 Btw looks like some new gear for 2015 I'm getting will allow for 1080p(newer editing software, However to use the DSLR I have to do those videos at 24FPS). You can help. I need roughly 750,000 new views on this channel before summer to get my hands on a DSLR capable of 30fps at 1080p(a Nikon D5100,5300, or 3200.) And turn off the ad block The best electrical storm ever caught. For one I don't live in the tropics and storm season is short. yea we get spring storms but the real crackers are during the summer. The most epic storm in terms of lightning I've seen was on the night of Aug 22 2006. However other than a friends tape that was 1 year before I got really serious about my gear.
