12:59 Here’s my coffee. My wife gave birth to premature twins last October. They finally came home right before Christmas. As we adjusted to being home we trade off feedings and I normally take the 5AM feed. I have a wifi coffee maker and start that bad boy up from bed as I prepare the baby bottles

My wife and I have four kids, sometimes those solo lunches in silence are magical. The dinner solo is a bit much.

Love eating by myself at a restaurant, just so pristine, tranquil and relaxing. No need to pretend like you want foot the bill or to pretend that you're interested in making conversation.

My favorite cup of coffee is the early morning on a day off before anyone else wakes up coffee.

Did this podcast just help my anxiety more than 6 months of therapy?!?! What is happening? Keep it up…I genuinely appreciate the words spoken today. Thank you!

There is nothing wrong with eating by yourself. I would go to lunch and sit in a fast food or a sit down restaurant by myself. It shows confidence. I needed a break from everyone.

What if you have to travel alone for work? Is dining alone at a table acceptable? Cause I think it is.

I couldn't help but think of Stephen King's The Langoliers chomping the fabric of time, every time John made the wood chipper motion. ...obscure reference, I know...

I agree with Alex both bed coffee & it’s snowing coffee are amazing!! 👏🏻 Also, as a single mom I think it’s nice to treat myself to my favorite dinner place when my kids are gone, so think it’s ok to sit in a booth alone from time to time.

That’s interesting.. my husband stopped drinking alcohol around the same time he started drinking coffee. In his 30’s like John. He didn’t go to AA though. He’d probably say the early morning, when it’s still dark cup of coffee before a fishing trip (deep sea ocean fishes as a hobby).

Work coffee is the worst. Coffee after a long, winter run is the best!

I am married to someone who played independent baseball, so less money than minor league, but in my opinion, here’s the draw: 1) baseball players are hot 2) he has a dream, which is super hot 3) and for me, it was an amazing feeling to support him emotionally and financially

I have a couple scenarios where eating at a restaurant by yourself would be okay. I’ve done it multiple times. 1) First time trying a place. If I’m trying a place I’ve never had before I want to be able to enjoy the food hot and fresh, and not something I may need to warm up. 2) Ramen or Pho spot. Eating ramen or pho fresh is by far the better way to enjoy it. 3) Buffets As a married man these are scenarios when my wife is busy and I get to enjoy a spot that I know she’s not a fan of.

As a member of the 12 step world, it’s wild how different AA vs NA coffee is. NA coffee is by far the nastiest coffee I’ve ever had. 😂

The other thing about loitering that’s super sketch is the amount of human trafficking going on in this country. Kids are snatched all the time.

Totally agree with Matt Walsh on the pay it forward drive through chain. If you decide to go buy food from a fast food chain I assume you can pay for your own food. My donations go to help people that really need help.

I'm thinking for a firefighter they have a drill that day don't know time or what to expect when they get to the scene but are doing it for training purposes. That would cause a little excitement without no one getting hurt hopefully

I gotta stick up for Matt Walsh in the drive thru line- I've been around people all trying to outdo one another with kindness, and it's annoying. Dude, fine. I'll take the best bed at the Air bnb, so you can all feel good about your self-sacrifice, and we can all get on with our vacation. It's not exactly the same, but let's be real. A lot of those people are not being kind. Some of them are ticked off that they are stuck in this mess, and they have to now pay for the family of 6 behind them when they just wanted waffle fries and a lemonade. Sure, it's kind to pay for a meal, but all the people in the line can afford it or they wouldn't be there. It's like tipping just so people think you're nice.

The in bed coffee is numero uno. 🙌🏼 Church coffee is definitely up there, white girl running errands coffee ..all the way in on that. The after dinner coffee is not the vibe. My husband didn’t start drinking coffee till he was like 30 & he drinks it black or espresso. He’ll drink it at night .. I can’t do caffeine that late but I’m w/Alex.. if it’s not caffeinated I don’t want it.
