There's a finite amount that gets spawned. I started a NCPD brawl at Mega Building 10 that turned into a running battle up the street. I got half way to Mega Building 7 to the north when they stopped spawning and my Wanted status just suddenly disappeared after one last kill. Went back along my path when I noted all the ones I had killed had already been de-spawned. No corpses.

They nerfed the crap out of it in 2.0 First time I used it in 2.0 I was amazed it no longer stunned an advancing enemy and the melee ganger killed me. But... with perks and buffs it reclaims its status. Its a great tool because of its insanely far reach and doing damage to multiple enemies that it can hit with its long reach. Same but on a less reach basis is the Katana, on closely situated enemies it tears thru them but 1 on 1 it has less advantage and Shotguns will do as well.

At the end it was wierd. I have never had the NCPD and Maxtac stop showing up if I didn't run off to a distant place without being seen. They just keep coming in droves (lots of carloads of NCPD and Maxtac keeps dropping as long as they have a street and location to drop to, if you in a tunnel they drop above but cant find you unless your taking out NCPD below).

Trauma then spending the next week trying to find all the body parts. I use a dps/tank build so I just run around shotgunning them, the animation of them flying away after getting buckshot to the face just too funny to watch. Builds like this look fun though, might have to try once I can finish the PL quests again(Know your name is bugged), cause I am missing some iconic cyberware for this :(
