If the Brooklyn nets win the championship this season, i don't want to hear "KD can't do it without playing on a superteam".... Fact is KD is coming back from the worst injury a basketball player can have and although he only played 19 games thus far, he's averaging 29 points, 7 rebs, 5 asts on great shooting splits. He came back this season, looking like he was never injured. Secondly, playing on a superteam doesn't automatically mean you will win. Lebron played on superteams for 9 years between heat, cavs and lakers and only won 4 rings and 2 of them, he needed a ray allen 3 and a 3-1 comeback to win and last season he played an injury depleted Heat team in the bubble. If you take Durant off this updated team, Nets don't come out the East. KD is a top 15 player all time and a 3rd ring with propel him to top 10

These signings aren’t what made the Nets unstoppable. If you watch League Pass you know the names of “Blake Griffin” and “Lamarcus Aldridge” are outperforming their actual games right now. The Nets are unstoppable because of the 3 core guys.

That's the issue I have here about parity in the league. This is bringing back Steph-Klay-KD-Dray with more talent somehow. KD is an MVP. Harden is an MVP. Kyrie is one of the most talented players ever and has proven to be good enough to be a second-best player on a championship team. There are MVPs, Finals MVPs, scoring titles, assist titles, championships between those three guys and they are all in their primes. It's ridiculous the league has these guys together. As good as LeBron and AD are, they have two ascendant talents, Brooklyn has three plus a great supporting cast. They might have the biggest championship-or-bust season in the history of the league going right now. If that sheer volume of talent doesn't absolutely demolish everyone, it will go down in the books as the biggest embarrassment in basketball history.

@@mohammedreigns7257 That’s because MJ was limited to wining chips with only one team. If MJ was good enough to win with any franchise he went to, he would have done it. Instead history shows what happened EVERY TIME MJ played without Pippen and the Bulls. He lost. Bron meanwhile has won every time he’s switched. And get this. Every time Bron switched he was leaving a higher performing team and going to a lower performing team. In doing this not once but three times, Bron has not only been able to do what Jordan couldn’t, but what no other player has not been able to do in the history of the game.
@santosonly73 жыл бұрын
@@mohammedreigns7257 And what does MJ inability to be able to switch and win have to do with teams building super teams to beat him? Nothing. Even with Jordan staying up under the Bulls, would not stop other teams from building super teams to beat him it was worth doing so. But either Jordan wasn’t given he was limited to winning only under 1 scenario or Jordan was already on the super teams and unlike today’s NBA, there simply weren’t enough guys on KD’s, Kyrie’s, Harden’s Steph, Klay’s level to make a team to face the Bulls. Either way, it was an advantage to stay with the Bulls as they were regarded as the best or second best team in NBA history. Not playing on that team or with Pippen reduced Jordan not being able to get out of the first round. So Jordan not switching made it easier for him to win versus switching. KD has shown little to no leadership, so that is a fair criticism. Nobody is going "to play with him" because he doesn't play! Griffin and Aldridge are coming to a stacked team, ready to get a ring If Durant was in Brooklyn, by himself, no Kyrie, no Harden, Griffin and Aldridge wouldn't be there

not true that it happened 0 times that the best player on the team always gets the MVP... Magic got his MVPs during the 80s when he played with Kareem, who was historically a better player, KD and Westbrook were equally dominating at OKC, when KD got his MVP, Malone had Stockton when he got his 2 MVPs and Stockton was equally good as a player (just didn't get as much spotlight, since he was a facilitator and not scorer)

KD or Curry never got MVPs or were top 3 in voting. They won 67, 57, 58 games all 3 years. But they always brought up the stack team, but now with Lebron its ok to have a stack team and he can be an MVP...

They struggled with a Miami team that barely had Bam and Dragic play lol if they struggled with that team the nets are probably winning in 4 lbvs. Trez hasn’t been a great fit for them and Dennis isn’t consistent like last year. Alex Curso has regressed and AD and Bron will probably both get hurt again. The compensation that their body is going to have will have lasting effects. The rich get richer. For all the times people lambasted LeBron for winning championships with stacked teams, you have to put a HUGE ASTERISK on any championship KD wins with the current Nets. It would be a huge failure if they DON'T win the championship. It would be so great if someone knocks them off. If KD, Harden, and Kyrie can't win a championship with the supporting cast they have, it will be a bigger embarrassment than last year's Clippers' melt down.
@WillyPDX943 жыл бұрын
@B Men Nets have a decent bench that got better with the Aldridge acquisition. Sure he's past his prime, but he still has the ability to score and defend . With the amount of attention KD, Kyrie, and Harden will attract, Aldridge is going to get a lot of wide open looks. He is an above average defender as well. Laker bench might be better, but it's still 3 superstars against 2 superstars and AD hasn't been himself all year. All the experts think the Nets are superior at this point, so if all three stars are healthy in the playoffs and they don't win, it's going to be a sh*t show for them. It will absolutely crush KD's ego and he might never recover.
