Flights are canceled, hospitals are at a standstill, banks are down, 911 services not available. Our society is at a complete standstill. Its the early morning hours but you just wait. If this isnt fixed soon, people are fixing to panic. It shows how dependent we are on the internet. Even our electric grid, nuclear power plants and dams are all on the internet. In what world is that safe?

I agree. People are too dependant on technology. I believe that everybody should have things in both physical form and technological to avoid this as much as we can.

Dear friend. Your response is absolutely spot on and direct. i like the fact that you mentioned that critical infrastructures like power grid, dams e.t.c are heavily reliant on the internet. The truth is that owners and operators of all these IT based infrastructure need to gear up their safety and incident recovery framework.

@peterburke8650 wow. Such great advice! I'm sure all those living paycheck to paycheck will take your advice. I don't live paycheck to paycheck, never said I did. This is a problem for everyone whether you live paycheck to paycheck or not. Many businesses are affected if they can't pay their employees. It affects contractors that go to Lowes to buy materials to build that home you live in. You might be in a position where you don't live paycheck to paycheck but what good is all that money if you can't access it and travel or go to the store?

this was caused by a security update from crowdstrike .... payments by card in stores are not working but cash points still are so get some cash out now ! ... card payments for online purchases are still working so its not all bad ... yet. if you are living on credit cards for supermarket food shopping your screwed !
