I have a turbo slammed drift miata. I have recaro fia approved and takata fia approved. I don't have a cage or rollbar. I live in NYC. What's track requirements to do a club loose event? And is it mandatory to do tandems because my car is the furthest thing from a missle. It's as clean as a "show car" but I've built it to actually be able to drift/function and although I'd be upset if I crashed it I think I'd be furious if someone put there car into mine. It's not hard at all. I bought engine mounts from Exccesive manufacturing that are made for the 2jz FRS/BRZ/GT86 swap. Camber caster setting are all normal drift setup stuff.

About how long does an average drift car's engine last?

That depends on a lot of things. Big, low-ish compression, naturally-aspirated V8s will probably last a long time without breaking, while a 2 liter, 4 cylinder, making 35 PSI of boost will likely break a lot more quickly because they're under a lot more stress. But like I said, it depends on a lot of different factors, and there's really no simple answer to how long a generic drift car's engine will last.
