Cabling Devices | Network Fundamentals Part 2
Now you know what a network is, it's time to see how they're cabled, and how addresses are used.
This video is for people that are first starting out in networking. All you need to bring is interest and enthusiasm.
My goal of the network Fundamental Series is to help anyone wanting to get into the IT field learn more about Networking.
Have a deeper look into the #Ethernet protocol, as dive into cabling and WiFi.
We investigate copper cables, and fibre cables. Full duplex and half duplex. straigh-through and crossover cables.
Each section includes a quiz to get you thinking. The answers to the quizzes in this video are found at:
networkdirection.net/Connecti...
If you're studying for CCENT, CCNA, JNCIA, or Network+, this video can help you.
For further study, I recommend (affiliate):

1) 1000Mb/s = 1Gb/s, UTP (CAT5e or superior). 2)Straight through cable, crossover cable. 3) When the wrong cable is used, what it does is reassign the pins to the correct functions. 4) Between Routers and Switches and for servers, Single-mode is for longer distances (Laser). 5) Maximum degree to which a cable can be bent, optic fiber. 6)Dual core fiber.

It's incredible how he makes this incredibly confusing and intimidating topic become understandable. The amount of work he puts in to the videos alone must be insane. I can't believe this is made for everyone to use at no cost. I'm an Electrician for a company that does oil and gas and other industrial jobs. Those companies use a shit ton of networking for transmitting and receiving for the endless amount information coming to and from instruments and devices for monitoring operations. My company sent me to a brief 2 day fiber optic installer course to learn how to test and terminate fiber. In that course they never discussed anything about networking and how such things work and why they're important. Finding someone to explain these things accurately on the job is near impossible. So all of this information from all your videos are helping me understand what all these networking equipment is used for and how it works. Thank you.
