And also if we enable the command "ip http secure-server" for any other purpose then these keys itself can be used to SSH. And this does not require a domain name to generate keys.

"ip doman name" command we should give in order to generate encryption keys and not to resolve host name. To resolve the host name we have to give the command "ip domain-lookup" followed by the dns server address by using the command "ip name server xxxxx."

Hi...I have a question regarding this....when I enable telnet on router...it works fine...just after enabling SSH on same router....the SSH works but telnet does not work anymore....... So should I use command: transport input all ?

hello sir,.....jaisa ki aapne bola tha telnet ka matlab , accessing a router from the remote location.Par aapne router ko remotely kaha liya hai .apne directly router configure kiya hai. In real time mai router agar hamari network location mai nai hogi toh hum kaisa conbfigure karenge....please reply to this query

if its remotely or locally you need console cable access to configure the device

real life devices mei telnet ya ssh kaise krun? for example i have jio fiber router and it is now no more connected to jio network i am using it as ap I just want to ssh or telnet in the console It has 80,443,1900,2872,7443,8080,54321 open ports and none of them are ssh or telnet how can i access shell of the device

SSH uses port no 22 !! Telnet uses 23. Also Jio Fiber Router is a gui router you can enable ssh or telnet inside the router. But its not like a cisco router which you will configure completely with CLI.
