First of all great video, I learned so many things after watching this video. One thing I need to point out, @29.35 if there are only two routers then DR BDR election will not take place. Because it will become point to pint link then they directly form neighborship followed by adjacency.

DR BDR Election happens on Ethernet technology whether its 2 routers or 4. Connect Routers with ethernet cable and run ospf and check "Show ip ospf neighbor"

Just having Ethernet connectivity between two routers how it can be DR & BDR selection.... Check video by pausing and review on 30:08 till 31:00 timing... If two routers connect on Ethernet Technology no selection of DR and BDR. Because DR &BDR selection happens on multiaccess devices. First introduce switch between the routers and use Ethernet Technology then Dr and BDr will get elect..

The only thing that helps router decide whethere there will be dr bdr selection is the type of layer 2 encapsulation(which determines ospf network type), rather than the physical topology.

Does DR and BDR election required when R1 and R2 is directly connected? I dont think so because there wont be any LSA flooding in this scenario. Its kind of P2P network.

once Router let say R1 initially start sending hello packet without knowing the other ospf routers in the network, it is considered to be in the down state not in init state which was missing there however Router let say R2 who receive that hello packet without receiving the Router id attched in the Hello packet, only it's considered to be in the init state

Sir we have Dr and BDR in broadcast network in when we have a 2 router and they connect with Ethernet like point to point connection in this scenario one router become a master with high periority And router 2 Become a slave
