Drafting instructions were amazing. If possible, I would like to know that how did you start conceptually i.e. the design you had in mind, how did you put those in to feature into numbers/calculations and then to NX ? Thank you in advance.

Thank you for the tutorial. With regards to the hexagonal patterning( after creating the first 6 hexagons). The spacing is small between the hexagons on the top rows and gets larger as you go to the bottom of the the pattern. Is that intended or am I doing it wrong?
@wolfgang.walden.cad.training3 жыл бұрын
As I´ve mentioned in the description, you can´t cover a sphere with equally sized hexagons and equally sized spacing. There fore you have to sacrifice one or the other. Go for this solution : kzbin.info/www/bejne/qoivhGRsnrOGm6M

I really enjoy learning from your tutorials. I want to ask you, What is a Pitch angle?, you used dhen patterned the hexagon.

the option is "count and pitch" : number of instances and angle between the instances

Mr Walden I have a question - coming from a Fusion 360 background where I have components and bodies, I would like know if there is a way to design multiple bodies (parts) in NX that share sketches (for ease of dimensioning and fitting) and then assemble those parts in one whole. I'm struggling with grasping the recommend workflow for NX, however it's obvious to me that there must be a smart way to design complex geometries comprising of multiple bodies/parts. Kind regards, and thank you for all your tutorials.

My Laptop CPU died a little when you applied the pattern feature. NX really doesn't like big stacks of geometry being applied at once. It's a nice tutorial, but I'd recommend to keep a placeholder in your Assemblies unless you can live with tremendous Performance Issues.

You might need a faster notebook ;) Yes, i.e. big patterns sometimes causes a slowdown.

Hi. Thanks for your videos. I´ve a question. When i try to trim hexangons with the projected rectangle, i got a message: "Circular dependency detected. did you try....?" How could i solve this issue? Thank you in advance.
@wolfgang.walden.cad.training4 жыл бұрын
Please not I´m not a clairvoyant, without knowing your model, how would I be able to give you decent advice? But I would try to change the dimensions of the rectangle.
@efemesutklc23474 жыл бұрын
I know its late but make sure the rectangle has no geometrical restriction with hexagons or something an also extraxt second body from revolve feature not first extracted one. You must get a warning while you are doing this (at 8:46 look at the right bottom of screen) then you will figure it out :)
